My best friend is severely suicidal and needs psychiatric help

Hello, my friend Yasha has been going through a lot and requires regular therapy and psychiatric monitoring to stay functional. She also needs to save up for university tuition for the coming school year and to move out of a distressing household. Neither I nor she can offer commissions right now but any little bit helps.

One therapy session costs 45$, she needs around 400$ for the tuition and around the same for the first round of rent + bills. It's a lot to ask but her family is struggling. We are very grateful to whoever donated towards her medication costs, which now cover half the summer. I worry for her a whole lot. It would mean so much to me if she could afford to live and thrive. thank you

no need to post or respond but genuinely, your myhouse.wad project is seriously one of the best things i have seen as a very dedicated mhw fan since it released, and it moved me to tears. i'm shocked i only now have seen it (i rarely peruse tumblr tags cuz they make me mad LOL). you captured what it was portraying so well, in my opinion. and i just really hope you know that your art has moved at lesat one person so deeply and i'm so grateful and happy you shared it. i hope life has been treating you well since the creation of those pieces and that you continue to be a wonderfully creative individual, along with fighting for your happiness (too corny? haha)

I'm extremely late responding to this, but thank you so much, I kept this in my inbox to look at it from time to time and smile! I hope life is treating you well too! Messages like this make it worth it putting art out into the world.

Some behind the scenes info about it is that I obsessed over that diary entry so much that the text in the comic is completely typed out on a physical typewriter, scanned, and cut up to fit each scene. Everything in the comic was drawn physically and only slightly touched up digitally. I remember reading The House of Leaves at age 16 and being moved by the photographs at the end and wanted to capture that, along with the narrative idea of obsessing over the concept of the game (both Steven and Tom) with the physical proof of it's dedication. It's a way to show how the entry itself is a dense capsule of the most cutting themes of the game and how I meditated on it, and how the narrator must have as well.

MyHouse.wad has such a powerful effect on people I'm glad I could capture even a little bit of it.

#asks #at a point I wanted to draw every in-game instance of the red and blue objects together (representing Tom and Steven)#but there were so many that I only did two (and one is black and white)#intial panel is also acryllic on cardboard for the artifical nature of the first beach ending #also i put in some references to august 3rd for the obituary of Tom and Steven #there's some lines in the game that still make me pause. Nothing good comes from a house fire.
