The MCU is literally sponsored by the U.S. Military, they suck military boots in a big way.
Already the first Sonic movie was hugely against the U.S. military. Robotnik was sent FROM the military, and he'd already on order erased a country from existence and was given money by them to make war machine drones. It also shows the military as bumbling and they can't even give their world-wide heroes who's lives they threatened and ruined more than an olive garden gift-card, meanwhile they could give Robotnik money for a russian doll tank? Ok.
Not only that, but Sonic games and shows of the past (Sa2, Sonic X) were incredibly anti-U.S. Military, specifically using G.U.N. Who are making an appearance in the next movie.
2. The post credits scene
The MCU is famous for starting post-credit's scenes. It completely changed the game, and in a terrible way. Usually people would leave during the credits, leaving the custodial team more time to clean up the large amount of popcorn and spills before the next movie, also saving money and time by shutting off the projector early.

The Sonic movie had a post-credits scene, pretty famous one, and they put it after the animated credits. They comment about the lack of a post-credits after the black credits in the director's commentary. Unlike Marvel they actually gave a shit about workers.
The MCU is also famous for overuse of CGI
This is probably because costumers and prop designers have unions, and CGI artists don't.
The Sonic movie, despite having a CGI main character, used as little CGI as possible, and using a large amount of practical effects.

Multiple Marvel actors have come out saying they hated working with Marvel, hated the character they played, or they were straight up uninterested in the whole project. They signed a contract, they did their jobs, they left. 90% of the directors did the same.
The Actors for the Sonic movie have shown nothing been love and passion for the project. You can tell just by listening to them talking about it. I wish I could rip and share the Director's commentary for the movie just because of how much fun they were having they talking about it. It was like listening to two kids talking about their favorite game Sonic.

In conclusion, no wonder Marvel/Disney are so scared of these movies. See the post about them releasing an unnamed movie on April 8th, an unusual release date. They have a history of trying to sabotage movies by re-releasing and dropping their successful movies.
