WIP - Disney Mini Quilt Swap

The Lion King mini quilt is coming along.

Now, I am working on the background. I used Accents in Design’s Fine Line Quilters rulers to do the grid. Learn more about the rulers and see detailed photos in my review.

The lines were marked with Fons & Porters marking pencil. The ruler has a 1/4 inch scored line from the edge.  Stitched lines remain straight when the scored line is placed on the pencil line. This ensures the grid does not veer off.

I used McTavishing in the letters. I am a big fan of Karen McTavish’s background filler. She has a new book, Mastering the Art of McTavishing.

So, far so good, but plenty more to do on this quilt.

This is a design for a Ghibli quilt! It's gonna be a big project for a close friend of mine! She's gonna graduate and leave soon, so I have to get it done quickly!

WIP - Under the Needle I’m making progress on stitching the batik blue border with McTavishing.

This quilt is based off the Kimono girls from Gold/Silver/Crystal and the remakes. It was a lot of fun to make (though also a lot of work…). The other girl is just a generic pokemon trainer and her eevee.
