Spoilers for HSR 3.2 story

I was thinking about how no one seemed to care that Anaxa was dying...... again. I can't remember who but I'm pretty sure someone said something that implies they knew he didn't have long to live but Aglaea knew and didn't tell anyone????. I know Anaxa wanted to die but he had students and friends who cared about him right? Or were they all like it's the prophecy so who cares.

Instead of the whole Trailblazer is dead and we need to save them story we could have done something similar with Anaxa. That part of the story just felt disconnected to me like it was just random or something, I mean it was just there so Castorice could save someone rather than kill them right? Like the whole story is going to end with everyone dying or leaving so what's one more negative part of the story.

I just don't understand why make a new dead person if we already had one.

I honestly believe Anaxa was supposed to be a mirror for Trailblazer here. Trailblazer is very social and quite open, they are well known for making friends everywhere they go and they wear their heart on their sleeve. Anaxa is reclusive and performative, he is not only known for his lies but he is also very obviously lying and plotting throughout 3.2. I'm not sure if he has any real, close friends at all - at best he has his students, at worst he only has himself and his mind.

Trailblazer seeks out help when they need it. Anaxa lies, omits and covers up any indication of him needing help. Trailblazer cares for others' feelings, Anaxa cares for unraveling truths.

So, at the end of the line, Trailblazer chooses the path that leaves unanswered questions but ultimately leads to life, and Anaxa gets all of the answers he seeks, forfeiting his life if it means he gets them.
