Among the many reasons I am clawing my life back from Google.
I love characters who would die for each other but will not, under any circumstances, communicate a single honest feeling.

i love the phrase 'i dont go here but...' like you're so in awe of my work you have decided to trespass into a fandom you dont belong to just to appreciate it. i love everyone who doesn't go here
Sending love to everyone who is just... tired. Life is a lot, and sometimes the answer to it all is to just be still and silent for a while. Give yourself space and grace.
Whether it’s decision fatigue, anxiety fatigue, information fatigue, routine fatigue, getting life back together fatigue, career fatigue, social fatigue, financial fatigue, or physical fatigue: take a moment to breathe and recharge. You deserve it.

The Meddlesome Mrs Barnaby
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a happily married woman desires nothing more than to usher her single friends into the same state of life.
Sarah was no exception to this sentiment, having exercised her wiles (with indifferent success, it must be confessed) in turn on Ben, Kate, and Charlie previously. But she was nothing if not tenacious, and had no intention whatsoever of giving up on Jamie and Kam.
“Ah, Winter! You’re here bright and early today. Not a callout, I hope?”
“No Sir. I managed to avoid the school traffic today, that’s all.”
“So you mean you finally listened to Kam’s advice to leave 5 minutes earlier, Jamie?”
Sarah watched the young man flush right up to his curls with a wicked sense of amusement. Really, whom was he kidding? Of course, Kam was back from her course today, hence his keenness to get into work early.
Jamie’d been just a touch “off” throughout that botched evening at the Gorgeous Georgians party, mused Sarah, unable to work with Petra the way he normally would with Kam. And at the same time, watching the younger ladies in their period finery with a look of longing that was perfectly clear to her, at least. She was certain John had noticed too, though whether he’d realised was, of course, anybody’s guess.
Waving John and Jamie off to work a few minutes later, Sarah settled back at the table to finish her interrupted breakfast, giving thanks that Finals week meant she could get to the school an hour later than usual and avoid the usual traffic. On cue, Betty demanded her favourite show on TV, something Sarah agreed to with a sigh, the terrible-twos having turned into the terrible-threes and showing no signs of tapering off.
Checking her watch to confirm she still had another 10 minutes, Sarah returned her attention to the Causton Echo, flipping through upcoming local events in the hopes of finding something to celebrate the end of another (rough) term. After all, her mother was taking Betty for the weekend and a couple of days after, giving her and John a rare opportunity for a romantic getaway.
With a grin, she circled the quarter-page advert near the back and mentally pencilled in a tentative plan. Now to talk John into it!
