and i find it kinda funny i find it kinda sad how little of a fandom bobert-phantoms got. hes an extremely important character in dd and even though the game itself might not be Super Well Made just the concept of him is insane. hes an empty shell. a fake. a boisterous flat sheet with a big bright caricature. in life bobby held up a facade that no one saw through, or no one cared to see through for if they did the phantoms charade would be out much faster. athena hearing others emotions could not discern the emptiness in him behind the loud loud voice. she might have thought it was normal. his colleagues, his friends (did he have any?), no one noticed a thing in the year he was dead. what was your family like, big man? did anyone cry at your funeral?

#it’s genuinely such an insane concept that hooked me immediately #the fact we never met the real Bobby at all makes me wonder so many things #most of all: how accurate is his recreation?#the idea of the phantom disguising as this loud over the top person #in order to slip into the crowd since everybody lets him fade into the background #‘just another noisy detective’#he created a shallow stereotype under the guise of being exaggerated. it’s amazing to me #I could talk about them for hours #in my head the real Bobby Fulbright is the biggest mystery because nobody even knew him. didn’t evennnotice when he vanished completely #my favorite guy to think about EVER!!!!#its not fair why did dual destinies of all games come up with the coolest villain concept ever #bobby fulbright #the phantom #dual destines spoilers #aa5 spoilers
