God so much has been going on in the world and in my life since I was last on Tumblr! I think the only constant is the fact that I still don’t know how to use it properly! 🙈

I had an emergency surgery almost three weeks ago now and I’m not due back into work (I work in a hospital) for another two weeks. Now that my stitches have been healing up and I’m better physically and mentally, I’ve been dipping my toes back into my fanfiction writing ❤️

I’ve revisited my favourite universe and finally begun writing the sequel I’ve been thinking of for almost two years now! 🙈

It’s really nice to be back and doing what I love. Life is short and we’ve got to make the most of it 😊

                                 Mileven Week is back this November!

From the 6th until the 12th of November 2019, join us in celebrating all things Mike & El with a special week dedicated solely to them. Themes for the week have been carefully chosen by the admins so that everyone can find something in this list that will inspire you.

The official themes for Mileven Week 2019 are:

Wednesday, Nov. 6th: Music

Thursday, Nov. 7th: Road trip

Friday, Nov. 8th: Sharing clothes

Saturday, Nov. 9th: Apocalypse

Sunday, Nov. 10th: Meet-cute AU

Monday, Nov. 11th: Art

Tuesday, Nov. 12th: Seasons

You can choose any or all of these themes and create fanworks based on them. Your work can be anything, from fanfiction to fanart, edits, fan videos, cosplay, headcanons, or even essays. It’s all welcome! And you can use any possible interpretation of the themes. You can start working on them now, and then on the assigned day for that theme, just post them (or link to them) on Tumblr using the tag #MilevenWeek2019, and one of the admins will reblog them to the official Mileven Week blog so that more people get the chance to see them.

Please reblog and share this post so that other fellow fans can see it! If you have any questions about how this is all going to work, be sure to check our About and Frequently Asked Questions pages, or feel free to ask the admins directly. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

                                             Mileven Week is back!                               From the 6th until the 12th of November 2019.

A celebration of all things Mike/Eleven that takes place every year from November 6th to the 12th, Mileven Week is right around the corner. Once again, we’re inviting fans to create fanworks (fic, art, edits, etc) centering on Mike and Eleven’s relationship, inspired by a series of themes that will be released by the admins before the start of the event.

All of your works will be shared on this blog once they’re posted so that more people will get the chance to see them – we wouldn’t want anything getting lost in the tags. Your creations will be in good hands with us here at mileven-week, and we can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Before any of that can happen though, we’re gonna need your help. In order for things to run smoothly (for you and us), we’re asking the fandom to come up with some original ideas for possible themes. These can range from eg. ‘Grocery shopping Mileven’ to ‘Runaway Mileven’ to 'Favourite headcanon’. We’re really looking for anything that can get the fandom’s creative juices flowing. (A list of last year’s themes can be found here.)

For more information on how this event will work, be sure to read through our About and Frequently Asked Questions pages for all the details. In the meantime, our Ask Box is now open for theme submissions, so send yours in soon! The admins will announce the final selection of themes for Mileven Week 2019 some three weeks prior to the actual event.

Let It Rain

It's November 7th 1987 and Homecoming night. El and Mike are expecting to be dressed formally, to dance, to laugh and to hopefully spend the night together.

When the night's events taken an unexpected turn, El is able to show her disappointed boyfriend that all she really needs to be happy is him.

Fluffy, romantic and cute, with the musical talents of Toto and Bryan Adams.

Happy Mileven Week everyone! I have written a one-shot for this great event, if you’re interested in reading it the links are at the bottom :-) 

Day 1 - Long Distance

                                  The Letters From My Heart 

For 353 days Mike calls to El.

His heart hoping even just for a sign that she's out there, that she missed him too. That she's yearning as well for the love they have lost.

El is crumbling every time she watches Mike calling out for her. Hopper knows he's days away from El being captured if she keeps trying to leave the cabin to see Mike.

He has to do something. Something that will work as an outlet for El to outpour her emotions and feelings for Mike.

"Remember when we started history lessons and I told you about the different world wars?"

El nodded in understanding but didn't speak, still sniffling as she tried to calm her breathing.

"Okay so in the war, soldiers went months and months without communication from their family and partner."

"What did they do?" El hiccupped, wiping her wet cheeks with the sleeve of her soft cream and pink pyjamas.

"They wrote letters to each other. They wrote about how they missed each other and what they had been doing."

For 353 days El writes to Mike.
