I think what really pisses me off about Chicago and THIS clip

Is that from this split second from the trailer everyone immediately knew that they were going to be romantically involved. Why? Because she’s a girl and he’s a boy and it’s a big Hollywood franchise and heteronormativity exists. Of course they were going to get together.

Meanwhile, Chloe has been looking at Beca that exact same way for the past six years and straight people and the general audience never even noticed. And when they do notice they still need like novels of proof to convince them that maybe, just maybe, Chloe isn’t straight and likes Beca as more than a friend. But they were immediately convinced about Chloe and Chicago based on this look alone. They never even considered Bechloe just because it’s two girls.
