On flat roofs, we install 2 layers of torch applied modified bitumen. Torch applied modified bitumen is one of the better applications for flat roofs and will assure your roof will last. To install torch applied modified bitumen the requirements are to go through a Certa Torch Applicators class provided by NRCA (National Roofing Contactors Association). We follow all the guidlines approved by Certa which includes but not limited to having 2 fire extinguishers within 10 ft of area working, utilizing our torch and flop methods and perform at least a 2 hour fire watch.
