The Process Church of the Final Judgment, a cult that existed in the late 60s/early 70s, were often accompanied by dogs, usually German Shepherds. Eventually the cult/church would morph and change and become Best Friends Animal Society, one of the largest animal sanctuaries in the world.

That syringe is held with such cinematic gravitas you’d think it contained the secret to eternal life, rather than just a standard dose of 1967-grade penicillin.
