BIO SUMMARY
trigger warnings: alcohol, drugs, drug addiction, drug overdose, estranged parents, foster care, and neglect.
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington by two Turkish, drug-addicted teenagers that werenât fit to parent and was born with a fraternal twin brother.
Farah and her brother grew up in the foster care system for about 10 years and then were adopted by a loving couple who were hardworking and grounded.
Growing up, she found an interest in her new parentsâ successful tech business and learned all about it due to the possibility of becoming the CEO one day.
Unfortunately, they didnât share the same thoughts as she did because they paid all of their attention onto her brother and kicked her to the sidelines.
During school, her overachieving perfectionist trait was born due to trying to impress her parentsâ with whatever she could and failed to receive their attention every time.
She was on the honor roll, at the top of her class, one of the brightest students in her grade, and was the wallflower while the popular star got everything he wanted - this is what made their relationship strained.
Strained and all, she did have this connection with him that no one else did - she found out about his experiments with his sexuality in no time, and as their parents disapproved, she didnât and even came out as bisexual herself.
As her brother declared that he wouldnât work for the company, her parents finally looked at her and felt settlement drown her eyes - this was the day the hatred for her parents was born.
After graduating high school, she moved to New York and attended NYU, only ending up to be a student there for 3 years, finally realizing that she didnât know why she was there in the first place.
She spent most of her adolescence gaining her parentsâ love and affection, so she lost track of who she was, and as the hatred for her parents grew stronger, she decided to drop out of college and detach herself from her family.
Losing contact with everyone, she bought herself a small apartment near the university, still pretended to be a student, and used her parentsâ money on clothes, alcohol, drugs; you name it.
Getting into the party life, she tried cocaine, never looked back, became a drug addict at 21 years old, was evicted from her apartment at 23 and lived on the streets.
Letting the demon of cocaine ruin her life, her dealer brought her to a drug addiction meeting and it freaked her out enough to keep her away for a few months.
She didnât enter the meeting building again until she overdosed on cocaine and miraculously survived.Â
She met her counselor and was instantly attracted to them, but honestly, she actually fell for their job, cleaned herself up, found out how to become a substance abuse counselor, and eventually became one.
After seven years, sheâs sober, still working as a SAC, and in need of a fresh start, so she packed up her things, said goodbye to New York, and her new job landed her back in her hometown of Seattle - sheâs been back for 2 months and is still getting used to her new beginning.
