I’m not actively necessary in the musical community, I post about the BOOK, I always have. Even though I am a fan of all of the forms of media, I’ve seen the entire tv show, I’ve watch the musical runs, I for fuck sake listen to the musical on a day to day basis. It’s a good musical. I literally stayed up and waited for the soundtrack to come out. And yes I have my issues with BOTH, they are good in some way.
Please for the love of god. I don’t know if some of yall need to hear this from an outside POV of someone you guys, in the musical fandom, (not anyone I have ever interacted with on here! And if you see this post, don’t assume I mean you.) are WILD, in the worst way possible.
They are not fucking dolls, they are NOT the charcters, so don’t treat them as less. Don’t treat them with less respect, don’t fucking treat them like there not real. Don’t for the love of god SEXUALIZE them? Don’t HARRASS them??

And I know this is a hot take, and very VERY small, I’m sure everyone who leans more towards the musical is lovley.
But they are separate peices of media in the way the portray the same characters. I would say the same with the tv show, but you need to understand, some people don’t like both. I wouldn’t put my love for the book anywhere near the level for the musical or movie or tv show. I don’t like those three as much, and you have to stop being so CHILDISH about it? When did sending people death threats and genuinely being an asshole become ok? This goes for both sides.
I, have gotten treated like an asshole from some people in the musical community, through that for some unfathomable reason be in person with someone who enjoyed the musical.
Just don’t be a dick for the love of god, this is a LOVLEY fandom, apart from some things that have died down, be nice. It’s not that hard to not literally tell someone to kill themselves due to not liking the musical. (I have seen and heard that happened before.)
Little rant or whatever. This is not meant to be targeting anyone who is mainly on the msucial. I know and have interacted with lots of them, lowkey folks. It’s just some people which I have seen ALOT of in the past few months.
