'Little' things about myself.

There's a reason why I had been posting world wide-known issues. I study advertising in Michigan State. Advertising are meant to increase the sales of products or service followed by the definition from advertising legend, David Ogilvy. What I want to learn from advertising parallels with other issues, such as non-profit commercial that creates awareness of specific issue in a creative way. I believe it is really important to learn issues/conflicts around us. But there are so many others who doesn't know it yet. So, here I am started posting on a tumblr.

Where & How Ebola Virus has started?

According to CNN, Ebola virus may have started from 2-year-old toddler in small village of Guinea. This toddler suffered known symptoms of Ebola such as vomiting fever and black stool for four days and died on December 6, 2013. Tragedy strikes again to this family. Mother, 6-year old daughter also died in December 13, 2013 follow by the toddler. Problem became bigger when grandmother died. Illness spread out quickly after grandmother's funeral. *funerals in Guinea tend to bring people close and led to contact with deceased person who is infected.

Symptoms & Infection of Ebola Virus

According to WHO (World Health Organization), West African Ebola epidemic has killed nearly 1,000 people an international public-health emergency. Symptoms typically start eight to 10 days after contracting the virus, with a fever, sore throat, muscle pain, and headaches. Typically nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea follow, along with decreased functioning of the liver and kidneys. Bleeding may also begin around this time. Human-to-human transmission can occur via direct contact with blood or bodily fluids from an infected person or by contact with contaminated medical equipment, particularly needles and syringes.

Some people say who cares what's going on outside of United States. However, weㅡ as a global citizensㅡ should be aware of problems around us. There are many perspectives to see Gaza conflict, and numerous other significant issues as well. Knowing what's going on and being part of the movement will definitely make a difference.

You will be curious on how things are going to be if you sponsor a child, and how others had been so far. I traveled to Philippine twice to visit Compassion International branch in Manila. I've seen how they are helping local communities. What surprised me was that staffs contact a sponsor to ask what they should get for a child's birthday and what they should do with whatever left even if it is a penny.
