MEET THE FEFF CAMPUS 2021 FINALISTS!
10 aspiring global journalists from 9 different countries will become part of the FEFF Family!
The FEFF Campus programme includes seminars, interviews and workshops that centre around the art of writing and cinema, and will be guided by a group of professionals led by veteran journalist Mathew Scott.
Nejc Feguš (Slovenia)
Nejc comes from a small country in Europe called Slovenia, specifically an even smaller town called Ormož. He’s a cinephile who has reignited his passion for film only recently with the help of film festivals. He’s currently studying media communications, finishing his masters, and trying to establish himself as a journalist and film critic in Slovenia.
Hai Anh Vu (Vietnam)
Hai Anh is from Vietnam. Currently, she’s working as an in-house legal consultant in a Japanese manufacturing company and freelance writer. She loves writing reviews for everything, especially books and films. You can look at her personal blog in film writing here: https://lenaandfilms.wordpress.com/. She’s really happy to get the chance to participate in this Campus and she hopes this is the good start for her future career as a film critic.
Jenni Leppihuhta (Finland)
Jenni is from Finland. She’ll graduate with a bachelor’s degree in film studies this summer and she wrote her undergraduate dissertation about Asian cinema at European film festivals. She loves learning about cinema and film culture and she’s looking forward to being a part of the FEFF Campus.
Jason Tan Liwag (Philippines)
Jason is a scientist, actor, and writer from the Philippines. He was previously a trainee under the Young Film Critics Programme of the International Film Festival Rotterdam and the Cinelab workshops of Cinema Centenario. He is the president of Cine Critico Filipino and a resident critic for local and international publications like CNN Philippines Life and Rappler.
Chris Cassingham (UK/USA)
Chris is an American currently studying in the UK at the National Film and Television School, where he is getting a master’s in film programming and curation. He has a passion for queer cinema and classic Hollywood musicals, and is eager to begin FEFF Camps, which will hopefully be an exciting step towards a profession in film journalism.
Richard Olano (Philippines)
Richard is a 19-year-old student journalist and filmmaker from the Philippines. He is currently taking up a bachelor's degree in nursing at the West Visayas State University, where he writes for the official university publication, Forum-Dimensions. For the past three years, Richard has written and directed six short films.
Levan Tskhovrebadze (Georgia)
Levan Tskhovrebadze is a cultural critic mostly specified in the field of film. As Georgian, he considers himself both European and Asian as he represents full characteristics of both cultures. He has written for various types of international film outlets including academic, entertainment or specified determined only for Asian movies.
Sakura Ip (Hong Kong, SAR)
Sakura is a bilingual (Cantonese & Mandarin) broadcast journalist based in Hong Kong. She has worked on both local and international desks, has covered in-depth feature stories on business trends, luxury brands, technology, arts and culture. With pen or camera, there’s always a story on the way.
Emilia Cristante (Italy)
Emilia is a web content creator and a cinema enthusiast based in Italy (for now). She is completing her studies in multimedia production techniques, and she recently graduated from the master’s degree in Japanese language and Asian markets. Her passion for cinema comes from her volunteering time at the Ca’ Foscari short film festival in Venice, through which she managed to interact with many international directors and experience life behind the scenes of a film festival.
