Little detail I like about the half-foot in Dunmeshi is how their names are usually composed of a masculine and feminine first name. From those we know we have :

Mickbell = Mick + Belle

Mayjack = May + jack

Flertom = Fleur + Tom

Puckpatty = Puck + Patty

Chilchuck doesn't really work for this (unless chili is a girl's name) but that's still 80% of them. The lore book talks about how their names are composed of two parts, but there's no explanation for this gender thing.

Maybe the parents decide on a girl name and a boy name and hen the kid is born they just mash them together ?
