how to *invite* lady hestia

It really depends on what you need or what you can offer. But the most important thing to remember is "she's your guest and it's your duty as a host to make her feel welcome".

Let's start simple - tea. It's polite to ask your guest what kind of tea they like before serving them. How do they like it? So before inviting her to have tea with you, ask her what she would like to have. If you communicate with her by a candle, simply list the tea you have and let her choose.

Cooking together & eating are one of the best ways to connect with anyone. Before you do, ask what she would like to help you make. Maybe she has a specific blessing in mind, maybe you do. The best thing to bake is bread. Working the dough together, waiting for it to rise. Maybe Lady Hestia feels like you need protection and she will gently push you forward adding some rosemary.

Let her choose what you can do together. Ask her by candle, write a list and let her guide your finger and pick something, whatever form of communication you choose. Maybe some days you just wake up and think "It would be very relaxing to do that one thing". It may just be Lady Hestia giving you her gentle hints.

It is truly as simple as inviting a guest over. Maybe you like to ask in person, but maybe you want to write a letter? Write an invitation, set a time, activities and then start preparing. Let's say you want to have a little tea party. Instead of preparing everything for one person simply prepare everything for two. Set a plate for her, offerings.

Aphrodite isn't called Pandemos (of All People) so you can sit around and let the big names capitalise love and serve it only to those who can afford to pay past the persecution. Hermes isn't called Oeopolus (Shepherd) so you can sit around and let a bunch of power-hungry wolves lead a flock of influencable sheep. Apollo isn't called Paean (Healer) so you can sit around while wealthy corporations serve healthcare only to those who can afford not to die. Athena isn't called Ambulia (Counsellor) so you can sit around while the people are being fed propaganda against each other to divert them from the real enemy at the top. Dionysus isn't called Eleuthereus (the Liberator) so you can sit around while freedom is only granted to those whose skins have the acceptable colour while the others die in chains. Zeus isn't called Xenios (of the Foreigners) so you can sit around while the borders are closed to those who need it and only open to those who can give back the money.

The Gods stand with the oppressed, and so should you.
