summary: Fez surprises you with a bouquet of roses.
pairing: Fezco x reader
You’ve just completed all your homework. As you put your textbooks away in your backpack, Fez walks past you on his way to the kitchen.
“Hey baby. You almost done studying?”
“Yep!” you nod, “I just need to do one last thing…”
You grab a pen and pull a piece of paper out of one of your folders. Fez grabs a drink from the refrigerator. After closing the fridge door, he turns around and sees you carefully signing something.
“What’s that?” your boyfriend asks, approaching you at the table.
“I got my report card today and a parent needs to sign it, so I’m forging my mom’s signature,” you explain.
Fez raises his eyebrows, “For real?”
You’re a good student. Faking signatures and lying to teachers are not things that you normally do.
“Yeah, I have to get this back to school tomorrow. My mom is working late tonight and I don’t wanna see my stepdad because I hate him… I think it would just be easier if I signed it myself,” you sigh.
Fez nods, understanding. He knows that you’ve had a difficult home life with your mom and stepdad. It came to a point where it was no longer safe for you to be there. That’s why you live with Fez now.
You finish signing the report card. Fez glances down at it and smiles brightly.
“Damn, shawty! You got straight A’s.”
You blush, unsure what to say. You put the report card back in the folder and pack it in your bag. Then you stand up from the table.
“Baby, come here.”
Your boyfriend immediately pulls you into a hug.
“I’m so fuckin’ proud of you, ma. My girl is a straight up genius,” Fez hypes you up.
“I, uh, I don’t know about that….” you mumble.
Fez pulls away from the hug so he can look you in the eye. He keeps you close.
“Why you always doubting yourself and shit? You got straight A’s. That’s a big fuckin’ deal,” Fez tells you.
“You really think so?” your eyes widen.
“Yeah, I do,” Fez nods, “Baby, we gotta celebrate. Anything you want.”
You scrunch your nose. Fezco is being so sweet and supportive right now. It’s so fucking cute.
“We don’t need to do anything big. Maybe we can order takeout from that Chinese restaurant we like?” you suggest.
“Word. Is that the Chinese place next to the flower shop?”
“Yeah that’s the one! It’s right between the flower store and the pharmacy,” you reply.
“Order everything you want. I’ll go pick it up,” Fez insists.
You smile, “Okay. I’ll get enough food for us and Ash.”
Fez leaves to get the takeout about twenty minutes after you make the order. While he’s gone, you and Ash scroll through the TV channels before landing on The Lost Boys. Unfortunately, it’s near the end of the movie.
“You know we have this on DVD,” Ash points out, “We can put it on and start from the beginning.”
“Oh yeah! Let’s do that when Fez gets back with the food,” you nod.
Just then, you hear the front door open. Fez is home. He walks into the living room carrying bags of takeout in one hand and a bouquet of roses in the other. Your face lights up when you see him.
“Are those for me?” you ask shyly.
“‘Course they for you, shawty,” Fez answers. He went to the flower shop before picking up the takeout.
Fez puts food down on the table and holds out the bouquet to you.
“Congrats on the report card, ma,” your boyfriend says softly.
Your heart melts. You take the flowers and look at them in awe.
“Thanks so much, baby! I love them… and I love you.”
