The first of my self-isolation projects, complete! Rivermoor has this awesome thing where we encourage and/or gift unique phoenixes to Masters that we create within the service orders. The intention being that this phoenix becomes your white or black phoenix if you are elevated to knighthood and can then play Paladin or Anti-Paladin. Its really a cool thing, and since I am all about the SWAG, I do whatever I can to support it. Aeonte was awarded his Master Crown in October of last year, and it took a bit of time to get his unique phoenix designed, but Lauxus did a *fabulous* job putting together an amazing bird. I promised Aeonte a hood as a belated Masterhood gift, and with the abundance of time on my hands at present, here it is! The fabric is all black cotton from my fabric stash, cut in the standard Viking hood style. The wings and tail of the phoenix is embroidered with cotton perle thread, mostly in a heavy chain stitch, while the body is stitched with standard DMC cotton floss in a split stitch fill to give it a different texture. I backed the embroidery so the raw stitching is hidden. All edges are serged and pressed open flat, and I added some metallic decorative stitching around the edge for some pizazz. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-FIeMqJLjS/?igshid=k0gufut7kd0a
