billy was a mutant with awesome powers that could defend himself and protect others yet he still was just as clumsy as the next person having lost his footing and getting all banged up on the last few stairs. he looked at his reflection in a window and grimaced, “can’t tell if this is worse than i imagined or not as bad as i imagined.”

sure ,  HE COMPLAINED ABOUT BILLY.   called him lame.   shoved off affection as much as he possibly could.   but at the end of the day ?   as weird as the whole soul twin thing was  ------  BILLY WAS HIS BROTHER.   & the only one allowed to bully billy was HIM ,  that was an OLDER BROTHER’S RIGHT.     ( yeah ,  they’re twins ,  but tommy will swear up & down he’s the older one. )     so when he sees cuts & bruises on his brother’s face when he’s whipping down the stairs his blur of motion CEASES to a solid form of wind whipped white hair & concern for a closer look.          ❛    dude ,  i’d call that PRETTY BAD.    ❜          a curious hand is reaching towards the injuries.          ❛    what’d you do ?    ❜

“hey, you know, some people enjoying have a slice to by them self; it’s not that odd of a thing and some people happen to think i am very hot company. eating a whole pizza by yourself, as much of a talent that it is, is nothing something you’d use to impress ‘hot’ company.”

❛   uh,  it’s BORING  ...  the last thing i am is boring !   and ,  just so you know ,  teddy DOES NOT COUNT on the list o people who happen to think you’re hot company.  ------ and even if there are people beyond teddy i’m still not allowed to think you hot company  ...  we’re brothers so nature says NO to that.  also ,  eating a whole pizza will impress MANY types of company.    ❜

❛    just WATCH and LEARN.    ❜          tommy takes a step back ,  gives her a wink ,  then in just the blink of an eye HE’S GONE.  he knows new york like the back of his hand & his weaving through the crowds at top speed takes but a SECOND to the average person.  a slip through the door at the pizza place.  check around to find one that’s not only good but FRESH as well.  grab it.  go.  he’s back behind his company with a box of still hot pizza & it’s only been THREE SECONDS for her.          ❛    dinner is served !   my place or yours ?    ❜

        dot gives a small huff as it’s not the most ideal response, but she supposes that she can compromise for now. ❛ pizza now – marriage later, ❜ she thinks to herself as she moves a strand of hair behind her ear. it’s definitely better than being rejected like that time she met mel gibson all those years ago. she’s still somewhat bitter about that but whatever, his loss is tommy’s gain. plus, it probably wouldn’t have worked out anyway. ❝ it sounds like just the way you said it, ❞ she replies, ❝ but if you’re asking if i’d like some, the answer is yes. ❞

she’s  ------  a bit  ...  much ?   maybe ANNOYING is the word he’s looking for but he’s not ready to admit to that just yet at the same time.   ‘cause  ------  she’s not  THAT  bad.   enthusiastic ,  he thinks ,  is a lot better.   & he LIKES enthusiasm on a good day !   he’s all for the energetic people of the world  ;  he’s one of them !   he grins.          ❛    i can be back with it in like THREE SECONDS !  ------ unless you wanna come with me.    ❜          that depends on how good she is with speed or motion sickness ,  though.

        she turns at the question – likely to give some silly remark – but stops in her tracks once her gaze falls on the source of the voice. if this was home, dot would literally have hearts hovering over her head. but this isn’t home and so she has to do without the visual display of her strong (( albeit probably temporary )) attraction. ❝ hellooo, nurse !! ❞ the teenager exclaims as she plops down on the stranger’s lap, ❝ i’m dot and even though you’re no channing tatum, i’d still marry you in a heartbeat. ❞

it’s like an answer to a prayer.   one second he’s trying to list off the clubs where the hottest people hang out in his head & the next second there’s someone dropping into his lap & pulling in his attention.   there’s SHOCK for a moment but tommy’s a quick guy in every sense of the word.   a grin spreads on his face ;  THIS’LL DO JUST FINE.   his hands settle ,  one resting on her knee & the other hanging beside him.          ❛    heh ,  i’m tommy !   and i don’t know about marriage but how’s pizza sound to you ?    ❜

❛    i’m not expecting it.   if i were EXPECTING it i would say WHY DO I NOT HAVE FREE PIZZA & HOT COMPANY but i didn’t say that.   i’m asking what do i have to do to obtain it.    where there’s a will there’s a way or whatever ,  right ?   i set goals and i try to figure out how to achieve them like any other productive member of society ,  thank you very much.    ❜

he doesn’t know this guy but in two sentences he’s made it quick to tommy’s favorites.   a grin splits across the speedster’s face.   it’s people like this that tommy fully supports having more of in his life.   no questions or comments :  JUST DELIVERY & SUPPORT.   sitting up ,  tommy happily clapped the guy on the back as a friendly gesture.           ❛    THAT’S what i like to hear !   i like you !    what kinda people are we talkin’ about ,  buddy ?    ❜
