“Maybe, maybe not. As far as I’m concerned, it’s worth a shot.”
"You'll throw it, I'll shoot it, and it'll knock us both back. Not worth it."
“Then, in that case, how ‘bout I throw in a grenade too? For good measure.”
"And you really think that would hit me?"
throws a rock at his helmet
Cue that stylish last minute grab—
“Y’know, I wonder how hard I can throw this back at your head.”
"Well, then we'd just be playing a game of catch."
"I didn’t think so." He laughed, "Just keeping check. You know, making sure." York pulled her in, their armor a little bulky but nonetheless manageable.
She rolls her eyes at him, reaching up to take his helmet off. "At this point I really think you're ninety percent worry." She laughed, taking off her own helmet.
"Alright, welcome back."
post-freelancer surprise visits for the FREAKIN’ WEEKEND
"Ah, true. But maybe you could give me a little peace of mind. For whatever short instance that would be." He laughed softly, reaching for her.
"If you think I'd break up with you over your silly pick up lines then you're beyond my help." She chuckled again, taking his hands in hers for a moment before letting go so she could fall into his arms.
I was dying to hear someone say That I didn’t need to try so hard to be perfect, That I was enough and it was okay.

"Good to know." He took a few steps closer, "Don’t make me worry now."
She followed his lead, taking another step closer to him. "I don't think it's physically possible for you not to worry." She teased.
Voices I play within my head, touch my own skin and hope that I’m still breathing. And so I tell myself that I’ll be strong and dreaming when they’re gone. (link to music inspired)
“Damn it. That’s barely a pass. Man, I better be careful or I might lose you.” Her criticism was somehow endearing to him.
"You're fine, York." She rolled her eyes again, this time chuckling lightly at the idiot.
“No I was thinking more percentages— numbers. D likes to process them.” He smiled.
She rolls her eyes at him. "Fine. I'd say that one's a 60 percent. I wouldn't punch your eye out for it. Still terrible, though."
"Ehh… a couple minutes. Changed it around a few times. How’d I do?"
"Could've done without the 'how are you doing.' Did you want a letter grade?"
I did it for Carolina
I CANT BELIEVE THIS.
"If I said I liked your armor, would you hold it against me?"

This happens every time anyone comes to Dr. Grey for help with anything.
I miss missing you now and then.
"Hey how are you doing? I would ask for your number but I already know it. You’re number one. I’ll call you later."
"How long did it take you to come up with that one?” She wasn’t holding back laughter, what are you talking about?
