John Steinbeck, East of Eden
I am sooooo not locked in. I am tucked in. Going to sleep
(excerpted from Leila Chatti's poem: "Tea", published in Missouri Review)
ITS NOT HOPELESS ITS JUST JANUARY.
I never got over anything. I miss everyone and everything. nostalgia and grief kill me every day. oh and I also love going on walks.
you literally just have to go outside.
did you seriously just forget to find beauty in the ordinary
Charles Wright, from "The Southern Cross", The World of Ten Thousand Things: Poems 1980-1990 [ID'd]
[through tears] yeah i remain whimsical
propaganda i am not falling for:
always moving on. some goodbyes need to rot a little. some griefs need to be held in the mouth like a stone.
beauty defined by algorithms. beauty exists in crow feet and smile lines
pretending to be chill. i’m not chill. i care deeply and inconveniently. i read into things. i write poems about eye contact
beige apartments with no soul. give me bookshelves and incense and loud art
sneaky links and unclear intentions. i want devotion. and also clarity
treating books as decor. read them. dog-ear them. argue with them in the margins
a printer error is an attempt from god to get you to kill yourself but you must be stronger and you must must must beat the printer to death with a large object like object
I spent my childhood around constant anger. I don't want to be angry
"I can fix him" I can trap him inside a crystal
when you hit 26 your only options are kill yourself or keep on living . this also happens everyday
In another universe i would never find comfort in hurting myself
So.. ummm.. fern foliage 😍
