Today I wanted to talk about Marlow Trottie. Marlow was a 35 year old Black woman living in Louisiana, whose friends and family described as always having "a smile on her face" and as being "literally the sweetest person I’ve ever met!”, according to Them news' Quispe López.
Marlow Trottie was killed on June 8th 2026. She was found dead, alone, in the streets of Alexandria, Louisiana. It was a homicide.
Marlow Trottie was a woman. Her family has contested this, and publicly misgendered her, and many news sites have already deadnamed and misgendered her as well. I fear what her obituary will say. I fear what her gravestone will say even more.
She joins a growing list of other trans women who have been killed simply for existing. Again from Them news, that list now numbers 11 women from the past 3 months alone.
i stand by the miscommunication trope like nothing else.
LIKE YES GIVE ME THE ANGST THE DRAMA I WANT IT TO GET SUPER MESSY (+points for detailed description of jealousy) but at the end of the day the two characters should sort it out and realise how stupid they were in misinterpreting something because thats the beauty of it.
a/n: okay I wrote this again since I got the request wrong... this time I went to see videos of the game event you talked about and took inspo from it eheh hope you forgive me for the first onesssss

The first time you see it, you almost walk past it… a small green ball sits on the deck of the Thousand Sunny.
It has tiny swords, tiny scarred eye, tiny angry eyebrows and green hair.
You stop.
The thing stops.
You stare at each other and then it rolls away… “Was that a tiny Zoro?”
A loud crash comes from somewhere on the ship, then a familiar voice “GET BACK HERE, YOU LITTLE SHIT!”
You hurry toward the noise.
When you reach the main deck, you find Zoro chasing the tiny creature that just bounces away.
Zoro grabs for it but the thing somehow dodges.
Zoro grabs it again and it smacks him in the face.
“OW!”
The little thing rolls away at full speed.
You stare… and Zoro stares.
The tiny thing stares, then it sticks its tongue out, or at least you think it does.
It's so small.
“I SWEAR I'M GOING TO CUT IT.”
“NO!” you immediately run between them.
Zoro looks offended “Why are you protecting it?”
“Look at it!”
“I'm looking at it.”
“It's adorable!”
“It's a demon.”
The tiny Zoro rolls behind your leg, like it's hiding from Zoro.
Zoro points at it “See? It's mocking me.”
The tiny creature peeks out, then immediately hides again.
You gasp “Oh my god.”
“Don't ‘oh my god’ me.”
“Oh my god, it's so cute.”
Zoro pinches the bridge of his nose.
Later that day, Zoro finds you in the kitchen.
You're happily drinking tea, while the tiny Zoro sits beside your cup. Its tiny swords leaning against the mug.
“There you are.”
You smile “Hi.”
Zoro points dramatically at the tiny creature “Take it.”
“Take it?”
“It keeps following me.”
The tiny Zoro nods like it's proud.
“Every time I try to grab it, it rolls away.”
The creature nods again.
“Or it hits me.”
The creature raises one of its tiny swords.
You almost laugh.
Zoro looks deeply offended “So if you like it so much, do something.”
“Like what?”
“Like take it away before I cut it in half.”
You slowly look at your boyfriend, then at the tiny creature and then back at him “Did you just threaten the baby?”
“It's not a baby.”
“It is.”
“It's a tiny version of me.”
“Exactly. Baby. Tiny baby Zoro.”
“Stop saying that.”
The creature seems happy and Zoro somehow looks even more annoyed.
“Fine.” you put your cup down “Let's see.”
Zoro crosses his arms “Good luck.”
The tiny creature sits calmly.
You look down at it “Hi.”
The tiny Zoro tilts its head.
“Aren't you cute?”
It wiggles.
Zoro immediately points “See? That's weird.”
You ignore him “Can I pick you up?”
The tiny creature wiggles again, like it's asking to be carried.
You freeze “OH.”
Zoro freezes too.
The next second, you gently pick it up and the tiny creature simply settles into your hands, comfortably.
You slowly turn toward Zoro.
He looks shocked, so you just say “That's weird.”
“THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING!”
You hold the tiny creature closer and it nuzzles against your chest.
Your heart immediately explodes “Oh no.”
“What?”
“It's even cuter up close.”
“How?”
“Look at its little face!”
“It has my face.”
“Exactly. Very cute.”
For some reason, Zoro looks even less happy now.
You spend the next hour carrying the tiny Zoro around and the crew quickly notices, and naturally, they lose their minds.
“IT'S SO CUTE!” Luffy shouts “I WANT ONE!”
“Absolutely not.” Nami says.
Chopper is already crying “LOOK AT ITS TINY SWORDS!”
Usopp is drawing it in different angles.
Sanji is laughing so hard he nearly falls over “Marimo, your child looks so stupid.”
“IT'S NOT MY CHILD.”
The tiny Zoro immediately throws a tiny sword at Sanji, and everyone bursts out laughing.
“IT EVEN HATES SANJI!” Luffy cries.
“See?” Sanji says “Definitely his child.”
“Shut up.”
Eventually the chaos dies down.
You sit near the rail, with the tiny Zoro in your lap, sleeping.
You melt “Aww.”
A shadow appears above you.
Zoro.
He looks down at the sleeping creature “You're still carrying it?”
“Obviously.”
“Why?”
“Because it's cute.”
“Hm.”
You smile “Do you want to hold it?”
“No.” the answer comes way too fast.
You narrow your eyes “Are you jealous?”
“What?”
“Jealous.”
“Of what?”
You point at the sleeping tsum “This.”
“Don't be stupid.”
The answer comes even faster.
You grin “Zoro.”
“I'm not jealous.”
“Zoro.”
“I'm not.”
The tiny creature shifts in its sleep.
You make another soft noise “Aww.”
Something twitches in Zoro's eyebrow.
“...Zoro?”
“What.”
“That's definitely jealousy.”
“It isn't.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
You smile innocently, then kiss the top of the tiny creature's head.
Slowly, you look up.
Zoro is staring “You never do that.”
“What?”
“That.”
You blink, then realization hits “Oh.”
The tiny creature snores.
Zoro looks personally betrayed.
The problem starts the next morning. Actually, no… the problem starts for Zoro. For you, everything is perfect.
You wake up and find the tiny Zoro sleeping on your pillow.
Curled up against your cheek like a cat “Aww.”
The tiny creature opens one eye, then immediately climbs onto your face.
You laugh “Good morning to you too.”
When you leave your room, the tiny Zoro follows.
When you eat breakfast, it sits beside you.
When you read, it sits in your lap.
When you take a nap, it naps too.
When you walk around the ship, it follows… everywhere, like your tiny bodyguard, or your tiny child, or your tiny stalker. You haven't decided yet.
Anyway, the real problem begins when Zoro notices.
Now, Zoro is training, while you sit nearby, watching.
The tiny Zoro is beside you.
You clap at the real Zoro as he does something with his swords “That was amazing, Zoro.”
The corner of his mouth twitches.
You know that's basically a smile.
Then you look down “Oh no.” the tiny Zoro has fallen over “Aww!”
You immediately pick it up “Are you okay?”
The tiny Zoro nods and you gently pat its head “Poor thing.”
Across the deck Zoro accidentally breaks a training post.
Everyone freezes.
“Zoro?”
“What.”
“Why did the post explode?”
“It was weak.”
The post had survived Franky's inventions and billions of training, nobody believes him.
Later that day you find the tiny Zoro sleeping on your shoulder again.
You smile “Look how peaceful it is.”
“Hm.”
“Isn't it cute?”
“Hm.”
“Zoro?”
“What.”
“Why do you sound angry?”
“I'm not angry.”
The tiny Zoro wakes up and looks at the real big Zoro, then immediately buries itself against your neck, like it's hiding.
Something in Zoro's soul dies.
Later on, things somehow get worse.
You walk onto the deck “Hellooo!”
The crew answers.
The tiny Zoro waves at them and Luffy waves back.
Then the real Zoro appears and the tiny creature notices him.
Everyone waits to see what will happen and the tsum turns around, runs to you and climbs your leg, as if demanding to be picked up.
“HAHAHAHAHA!” Luffy screams “IT REJECTED HIM AGAIN!”
“NO WAY!” Usopp cries.
“THAT'S COLD.” Brook says “YOHOHOHO!”
Zoro looks like he wants to jump into the ocean.
That evening, you're sitting near the rail, the sunset is beautiful and the sea is calm.
The tiny Zoro sits in your lap, while you gently scratch under its chin and the tiny creature makes a happy little sound.
“Who's the cutest swordsman?”
The tiny Zoro raises its small hand.
“That's right!”
A shadow falls over you and you look up.
“Hi, Zoro… Are you okay?”
“No.”
“Oh.”
That answer was immediate and honest, which is strange.
The tiny Zoro looks up, sees the real Zoro and then climbs behind your arm.
The vein on Zoro's forehead appears instantly.
“Zoro?”
“Okay.”
“What?”
“Okay.”
You blink, confused.
The crew nearby immediately turns to watch, because everyone recognizes that voice… that’s the voice of a man reaching his limit.
“Okay, I can somehow accept it interrupting my training time… I can accept it stealing my food.”
“Wait, it stole your food?”
“THAT'S NOT THE POINT.”
“Sorry…”
He points dramatically at the tiny creature “I can even accept it hitting me!”
“You can?”
“NOT REALLY!”
“Okay.”
Zoro takes a deep breath… a very deep breath.
Then “But I won’t accept it being with you more than me!”
Silence.
The sea itself seems shocked.
You stare, the crew stares, the tiny Zoro stares… Zoro stares.
Then realization slowly hits him as his eye widen.
“...Zoro?”
His face immediately turns red.
Luffy gasps dramatically “HE'S MAD JEALOUS!”
“LUFFY, RUN.” Usopp whispers.
Zoro turns to leave “Forget it.”
“Wait.”
“Forget it.”
“Zoro…”
“I said forget it.”
He starts walking away. The walk of a man trying to escape his own feelings.
You look down and the tiny Zoro looks up.
Then you carefully place the tsum on the deck “Stay here for one second.”
It salutes.
Then you run “ZORO!”
“Don't start.”
“ZORO!”
“Forget what I said.”
“NO!”
You jump and immediately land on his back.
“WOAH!” Zoro nearly falls over by surprise.
Your arms wrap around his neck and your legs lock around his waist “Got you!”
“OI!” he stumbles, his face somehow gets even redder “GET OFF!”
“No.”
“People are watching!”
“Don't care.”
“I CARE!”
You squeeze him tighter “Aww.”
“Don't ‘aww’ me.”
“You’re so cute.”
Zoro freezes.
“You're jealous.”
“I'm not.”
“You are.”
“I'm not.”
“You literally gave a speech.”
“IT WASN'T A SPEECH.”
“It was a whole confession.”
“IT WASN'T THAT EITHER!”
The crew is crying and laughing.
You rest your chin on Zoro's shoulder “I like the tiny Zoro.”
“...”
“But I like you more.”
Zoro completely stops moving.
“Because you're my boyfriend.”
His ears turn bright red.
“See?”
“Shut up.”
“You're cute.”
“Shut up.”
“You're adorable.”
“I'm going to throw you into the ocean.”
Then something lands on Zoro's head.
You both look up.
The tiny Zoro is standing there, almost looking offended.
“Aww!” you immediately reach for it.
The tiny Zoro jumps, straight between you and the real Zoro.
Now it's hanging from Zoro's shoulder, like it's forcing a group hug.
The crew completely loses it.
“IT FELT LEFT OUT!” Chopper cries.
“THIS IS THE CUTEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN!” Usopp screams.
“I'M GOING TO DIE! I WANT ONE TOO!” Luffy shouts.
The tiny Zoro proudly sits on real Zoro's shoulder.
Then it pats his cheek, like it's comforting him.
The entire deck explodes with laughter.
Zoro looks ready to die.
You bury your face against his shoulder because you're laughing too hard.
The tiny Zoro nods proudly, like it fixed everything.
You are currently curled up in Zoro's bed, with Zoro and with the tiny Zoro.
Honestly? It might be one of the best afternoons of your life.
The real Zoro is lying on his back, one arm behind his head, the other resting on his stomach.
You are half on top of him.
And the tiny Zoro is sleeping between both of you, using Zoro's chest as a pillow.
You stare at the sight, then smile.
“Why are you looking at us like that?”
“Because you're cute.”
“We're sleeping.”
“Exactly.”
The tiny Zoro lets out a tiny snore.
Your heart melts, for the hundredth time.
You gently poke the tiny creature and it immediately grabs your finger, without even waking up “Aww, it’s just like you!”
Zoro doesn't even look “You're doing it again.”
“Doing what?”
“That voice.”
“What voice?”
“The one you use when you see something cute.”
You gasp dramatically “Are you saying this isn't cute?”
“...”
“Look at him!”
“I'm trying not to.”
“You're lying.”
“I'm not.”
“You are.”
You grin, then hug him tighter.
The tiny Zoro gets squeezed between you both, but it doesn't seem to mind.
Your eyes shine “Oh my god.”
“What now?”
“It's like having a child.”
You slowly look up… Zoro's face is red.
“Shut up.”
You immediately start laughing “YOU BLUSHED!”
“I DIDN'T.”
“You absolutely did!”
The tiny Zoro wakes up, looks around, sees Zoro's face, and nods, like it agrees with you.
“See? Even he agrees.”
“Traitor. This thing is annoying.”
You immediately pout “Liar.”
“I'm not lying.”
“Big liar.”
“I'm serious.”
“Biggest liar in the world.”
You hug him harder.
“Oi. You're crushing me. I need oxygen.”
“You're fine.”
Zoro could absolutely throw you across the room if he wanted to.
You both know it.
Instead, he lets you stay exactly where you are.
You smile against his shoulder, then your gaze falls to the tiny Zoro and your smile softens “I wonder how he ended up here.”
The tiny creature tilts its head.
“I mean... where did he come from?”
“Don't know.”
“And why does he look exactly like you?”
“Don't know.”
“Do you think he'll stay forever?”
“Hopefully not.”
You narrow your eyes “Liar.”
“Not this again.”
“You like him.”
“I don't.”
“You do.”
“I don't.”
“You absolutely do.”
The tiny Zoro points at the real Zoro, then at itself and then gives a thumbs up.
You burst out laughing.
Zoro groans “I'm surrounded by idiots.”
You attack.
“Wha—OI!”
Before Zoro can react, you climb fully on top of him.
“HEY.”
You swing one leg over each side of him, pinning him to the mattress, not that it would actually stop him, but somehow it works. Mostly because he's letting it.
“Get off.”
“No.”
“Move.”
“No.”
“You're annoying.”
“You love me.”
“Unfortunately.”
You grin victoriously, then grab both his hands.
“What are you doing?”
“Proving a point.”
“I don't like the sound of that.”
You pin his hands above his head… again, not because you're stronger, but because Zoro finds your determination ridiculous, and maybe a little cute.
“You're impossible.”
“Correct.”
Then you lean down, and kiss his forehead.
Zoro freezes.
“Cute.” you say, and then another kiss, on his temple.
“Very cute.”
Another near his eyebrow.
“Extremely cute.”
“Stop.”
Another kiss.
“No.”
Another.
“Cute.”
Another.
“Cute.”
Another.
“Cute.”
Zoro's face becomes redder with every second “You're irritating.”
You laugh.
Then suddenly a tiny shape climbs onto his chest.
“OH.”
The tiny Zoro has joined the battle.
It walks up to Zoro's face.
mwah.
A tiny kiss on his cheek.
You immediately lose it “No way!”
You laugh so hard your stomach hurts.
And then you kiss Zoro's other cheek.
The tiny Zoro copies you.
You kiss his forehead.
Tiny Zoro kisses his nose.
“HAHAHAHA!”
You are practically crying now.
The tiny creature is completely serious, like this is an important mission.
Meanwhile Zoro looks like he wants the floor to swallow him “I hate both of you.”
But his voice lacks any real anger.
You keep laughing and suddenly you notice that Zoro isn't looking annoyed anymore.
He's looking at you.
And the room feels softer somehow, because Zoro loves that sound, even if he'll never admit it.
The tiny Zoro eventually curls up on his chest again.
After a final kiss on the lips, you settle beside him and your head finds its usual place on his shoulder.
Nobody talks anymore.
And eventually, the three of you fall asleep, together.
The next morning, you wake up first.
You stretch, look down and freeze.
The spot between you and Zoro is empty.
Your heart sinks immediately “No…”
You sit up to look around, under the blanket, under the bed… everywhere.
Zoro wakes up because of that but says nothing.
“...he's gone.”
The words come out small.
You hadn't realized how attached you'd become.
A hand suddenly lands on your head.
You look up and see Zoro, then you look back at the empty space “He left.”
For a moment, neither of you speaks.
Then Zoro sighs, and reaches forward, pulling you directly into his chest.
His arms wrap around you.
“You know...” his chin rests on top of your head “There was always going to be a day when it left.”
You sniff “Yeah. I'm gonna miss him.”
“Me too.”
You immediately look up “YOU ADMITTED IT!”
Zoro realizes his mistake instantly “Forget I said that.”
“NO.”
“Forget it.”
“YOU LOVED HIM.”
“Shut up.”
“I KNEW YOU LOVED CUTE THINGS! YOU LOVE CHOPPER THE MOST HERE!”
“Oi. Stop it.”
“YOU LOVED YOUR TINY SON TOO.”
“I'M THROWING YOU OVERBOARD.”
You laugh and finally, Zoro smiles.
The tiny cute Zoro might be gone but the big cute Zoro will always be by your side.
people who say they think female characters are fundamentally uninteresting are genuinely the weakest links to me like if you cant even make yourself care about a FICTIONAL woman u kind of need to die slow
Even if she HAD stolen the diapers... Why are you shooting at someone over diapers. That wasn't because he cared about no damn theft. He wanted to shoot, and he killed a one year old over it.
January 20, 1973 - On this day the anti-colonial revolutionary leader Amílcar Cabral was assassinated. Cabral was the leader of the PAIGC, the party that fought for the liberation of Guinea-Bissau and Cabo Verde, then under Portuguese colonial rule.
Long before Portugal recognized their independence, PAIGC fighters had liberated most of the countryside and built their own administration, registering births and running schools and clinics. At the heart of this struggle was Amílcar Cabral. Born in Bafatá to a Cabo Verdean father and a Guinean mother, he was a commander and one of the sharpest anti-colonial thinkers of his time.
Cabral was assassinated in Conakry, Guinea, in January 1973 by agents within his own party, acting under the influence of the intelligence services of the Portuguese fascist state at the time. He did not live to see independence. Yet within weeks of the PAIGC’s unilateral declaration of independence, dozens of states recognized Guinea-Bissau, further isolating Portugal internationally.
When the Carnation Revolution toppled the Portuguese fascist state in 1974, Lisbon was forced to recognize what Cabral’s movement had already achieved: an independent country, administered by its own people, whose struggle also helped open the door to democracy in Portugal. [video]
Ik this is different to what I normally post about but I think its really important, so please listen up!
Puerto Rico is going through a water crisis! Currently there are over 100,000 people with out water on the island, especially in San Juan.
I was talking to my cousin from San Juan and she said they haven't had water in 2 months. They haven't been able to shower, drink water, cook with water, flush their toilet, all these basic human necessities. They have to get gallon jugs of water and use those
This is happening because a major pipe broke and they have yet to fix it, but really its because of corruption. The aquaducts haven't had the necessary repairs or even pumps put in for years.
Water is a basic human right and more people need to be aware of whats happening in Puerto Rico, expecially thr Puerto Ricans that are in the mainland and Americans unaware of their fellow Americans (bc Puerto Rico is apart of the US) problems.
For more information:
Thousands of Puerto Ricans are struggling with water shortages so severe that the governor of the U.S. territory has activated the National
