FATE VS. FREE WILL
In Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, there are many scenes in which Romeo and Juliet have the free will to choose what they want and the fate that is destined upon them. Right at the beginning of the story the audience will know that it is a tragedy play, and the two main characters take their lives for their love for each other. Right when the readers read this prologue, they know that it was their fate to die. In each Act there is at least one scene with free will and one with fate. For example Romeo was not fated to be with Rosaline. Then he chose to go the Capulet’s party and meets Juliet. Of course there are many other scene that have fate vs. free will in them. We can reflect on the actions that Romeo and Juliet decided to choose, some of them are idiotic choses, but they say people will do anything if they are in love. Even though Romeo and Juliet both know that they were not destined together, they took the risk and were wed together. But they did not know that everything would rapidly go downfall right after they were married, which was fated to them right when they decided to marry each other.
