nothing is worse than having to detach from someone who has seen all of you
Never talk to me or my 42 trees again
it amuses me to see people being surprised/impressed/amused by this setup, because it’s extremely common on the plains. if you don’t plant a windbreak, your heating and cooling bills are huge, and storms do things like throw the lawnmower through the living room window, take the roof off, or cake the entire north side of the house with six inches of solid ice.
evergreens remain bendy even in the coldest weather, so – wait, no, not the coldest. i remember when i was a kid it got down to like -45 and the norway pines around my house were cracking like gunshots as the sap froze.
maples, incidentally, make that noise around -20f, and i hear it at least once every winter here in southern minnesota. but i only ever heard norway pines make it that one time.
so anyway that’s why we plant pine trees around our houses. because otherwise the wind would freaking kill us.
This is informative and perfectly sensible under the circumstances but I also cannot resist the temptation to compare it to planting stuff all around the boundary of your lot in The Sims
Shoutout to all my girls who are bigger than, taller than, or weigh more than their boyfriends and feel subconscious about it bc our society puts so much emphasis on girls needing to be Less Than boys in every single way, especially physically.
Never apologize for the space you occupy in this world.
why do people, namely men, act like fat girls are impossible to love? i hate to burst this bubble you’re living in, but fat girls can be in loving relationships, fat girls are approached, fat girls have sex (and don’t suffocate the person), fat girls are fawned over, admired, desired, and flirted with. and, yes, even by “conventionally attractive” and thin people. im tired of reading shit implying fat women are lower tier, a charity case, or second choices. just because you, personally, don’t find fat women attractive doesn’t mean yo boy jerimiah didn’t wear a pair of fat legs as earmuffs last week.
@ all the angry anons upset that i’m fat and happy
Shoutout to the people who:
-have symptoms that aren’t visible to others
-are able to function even while in extreme pain
-hide their illness well
-who don’t “seem sick”
-who have flareups at night or other times when no one else sees
-fight a daily battle that others can’t see
-feel like they’re making too big of a deal out of their illness because “it could be worse!”
I see you out there, I feel you, you’re awesome.

Ahhh. That rare moment when a concept artist designs a fat character who is realistic, cool, and not neck-deep in a mire of horrible, offensive fat stereotypes.
One of my favorites. Artist: Robert Simons
I’d love to see him return to this character, honestly.
Pssst
Guys.
Maybe if we reblog this enough, sooner or later it’ll reach concept artists and show them that there’s a BETTER way to draw fat characters, and they don’t have to be insulting with their concept art.
I’m really surprised that she actually have both breasts, thighs AND visible two level belly AND pudgy arms that’s a really good one

Being a "Real" PLUS SIZE???
I do think there must be some definition of what plus size is to most of these plus size instagrams and tumblers because I can tag five different plus size pages on a picture of mine and get one like but there can be a girl who is like 4x my size and she can get 500 likes and have 70 followers!!! I am plus size but I apologize if I also want to be healthy, athletic and active. #differenttypesofPLUS plusmodelmagazine curvyisthenewblack bigbeautifulblackgirls plus-sized-fashion

You should apologize, not for being your size (because whatever size you are, you should be happy with it!), but for so blatantly hating on people who are bigger than you.
You tag your posts #loveyourbody but then go on to imply that you are better than fatter people and deserve more attention than them. No. You don’t. You’re gorgeous, but you need to stop implying you deserve more attention than fatter people whilst still claiming to be body positive :(
A healthy person is not worth more than an unhealthy person, so it doesn’t matter if you’re healthy and someone else isn’t, you’re not ‘better’ than them.
It’s great you love your curves - but people who are 4x your size love their curves, too, and deserve all the attention they get.

Plus, there’s no way you can look at someone and know how “healthy” or “unhealthy” they are, or even begin to embrace the complexity of what it means to be “healthy” on an individual level. For instance, a nonableistic definition of healthy would recognize that there can be health tradeoffs, like controlled depression with a side effect of higher weight.

You are implying that people larger than you are not “really” plus size though like Stop. you’re still internalizing fatphobia enough to cling to the “good fatty” dynamic and demonize larger supposedly unhealthy fat people because you want to feel secure and loved as a fat person and you think this is the best way to get that approval from others since everyone hates deathfats Your body positivity needs work 😒
All the responses, though!
