when the subtitles have slight inaccuracies like synonyms and asynchronous abbreviations/lengthenings to what's actually being said

Something that makes me really sad and quite upset is that so many deaths in the show were paired with important stories of grief and finding happiness while not removing that person from your soul.

Barb’s death plays an important part in building Nancy to be so strong and independent.

Bob’s death showed an important storyline of finding love again with someone who recognizes and comforts that loss.

Eddie’s death strengthened Dustin’s ability to love outwardly with passion and fearlessness.

Even Billy’s death showed the importance of the hard to understand mourning of someone who has caused pain.

The choice to have Jane sacrifice herself at the end and have no character grow from it really hurts. She was dumbed down to the magic of childhood that should be left behind at some point.

Them believing that she’s still out there is not good writing. No character carries her strength with them. No character carries her specific kindness with them. If she’s still out there they are stuck to believe and not mourn.

How do you disrespect your female characters so boldly?
