He continued to glare down at her, silent as he spoke of her discrepancy. Shoot her? He scoffed, but no grin growing on his face this time. The gun was only to intimidate. He wasn’t going to kill them. Too much shit would happen if he did. He continued to look down at them, silent.
There was nothing he wanted to say. He didn’t want to explain himself, he didn’t see the need. This was just one of the many, many others that he would run into once, and forget about later. Drink her out of his mind. That sounded like the usual. He listened silently.
Then she said it. The one thing he couldn’t stand to hear.
His expression shifted finally to one of pain, the anger still in his eyes, but his actual humanity- or what’s left of it shining through. They were better off without him. He always told himself the opposite. That he was better off without them but- He blinked, the next thing he knew the gun raising with her help to her temple.
He tried- He tried so hard to look angry again, and glared at them, trying so hard to feel that anger from before. They were- they were infuriating! But.. but they were right…. weren’t they?
He just huffed, dropping the gun and walking to the other end of the garage, back turned to them, arms crossed. There was a long silence between the two of them, one that he was looking for words. Finally opening a cabinet of what looks like different types of alcohol, he took a large drink of one before filling his flask.
❛ My help? What, should I be flattered?……… Maybe you’re right, but I’m not going to tell you if you are or not. ❜ He sounded… calmed, almost defeated. He wasn’t going to tell him what got to him. He wasn’t going to share his weakness. That was something he hid from everyone- even himself most of the time. But now his thought’s were stuck on that… on them….
❛ And no, my dimension doesn’t mean shit from you but- fine. Come on. We have what? 15, 16 other ones to save? You’re the expert. We need to go to A-2245′s dimension. I saved it in my portal gun after my accidental first visit. After that, we should be able to find their locations and get them somewhere safe. Maybe you call the assholes and tell them so they can fix this shit. ❜ He sighed, and burped from the alcohol.
All of his anger seemed to have dissipated, and he was just- going along with it. He had given up. But after this- he wasn’t even going to give a second thought about any of this. Fuck A-2245, and fuck Taco. He didn’t want to be involved in this shit, and he’s being dragged into it yet again.
Moving over to his shelves in the garage (that really weren’t even his- some other Rick’s shit) he threw stuff on the ground, looking for parts to something. Tossing random pieces at the other without warning, he walked back and began making modifications on his portal gun and the gun he had just used.
❛ F-First we need to prepare for whatever -urp- whatever the other asshole has. Knowing him, and I do since he is me, he’s gonna have precau-urp- precautions planned in case someone tries and stop this sh-shit. H-Hand me the m-motherboard Taco. ❜
▰ Their eyes widened. They.. No, no SHE did it. They shook. Their shoulders shook and then their face flushed as heat rushed to their face as they slipped and went to get the motherboard. Their heart pounding against their ribcage. They weren’t scared. Or happy. They felt actually... Numb. Finding the object they ran over to Rick - and with shaky hands handed the board to them. ▰
“ H-h-here you, you go. “
▰ Swallowing they glanced away. The feeling that bubbled in them wasn’t guilt. They knew what guilt felt like. What else was --- wait A-2245′s Dimension? They... They have never gone. They knew of it but never gone. If that meant they are going and they had to contact anyone from there then. Then they would --- ▰
“ by, by the way.... You can call me Kaitlyn. “
▰ They couldn’t believe this but once the motherboard was actually given to him, they pulled out their smart phone to text a number. Now who they were texting... Well was a mystery. ▰
“ I just told my connections to make sure.... Make sure A:B Smith house was taken care of... “
