Stephen asked Little Felicity why she walked for the first time in months and left him…she brazenly said, “Because you didn’t tell me you had a kid!”
“Thank you for making me relive that.” -Stephen
THANK YOU LITTLE FELICITY. this little girl gets it, but the haters refuse to…
I love this moment
I’m kind of over The Flash.
So, is he gonna get the Season 4 Green Arrow action figure when it comes out?
😂😂😂
Felicity refering to Oliver: the evolution
boss x partner x friend x love
I care that the entire time we were supposed to be away together, part of you was still here.
Olicity: Bottom of the Bottle
Anonymous said: Drabble: how about it’s been some time since Felicity and Oliver have broken up and Oliver misses her so much that he drunk calls her or even he goes to see her cause he can’t help himself? I love angst :)
She knows from the sniff on the other end of the phone that he’s been drinking.
Oliver drinks a lot these days. Not a lot by normal people’s standards, but a lot by his own. He’s deceptively good at nursing the same drink throughout an entire evening when required to make a public appearance, but lately she’s seen him finish several glasses, and those were just the ones that she’d noticed. She knows that alcohol allows him to put demons to rest for a few hours, and right now, she imagines he has plenty of those.
“Oliver, how much have you had to drink?” she asks him calmly.
“Not enough,” he mumbles.

up until the olicity breakup, i thoroughly enjoyed 4x15. after it, i was upset but still greatful because i felt it had more substance than some other episodes that have aired recently
do you ever rewatch the pilot of a show and just look at your innocent children with sadness bc they are so unsuspecting of all the terrible plot devices headed their way
Felicity should have taken Oliver's mental illness into consideration, she didn't care to stay and try to listen to his point of view and work through it to save their relationship. She just decided he was wrong and walked away like she didn't even care.
You don’t seem to be outright accusing her of being a heartless and selfish bitch, but the implication is there, as is the sexism. This topic is broader than merely just episode 4x15 - it’s an underlying problem with what some people would like to paint Felicity Smoak as to begin with.
Some people enjoy deliberately viewing Felicity as a prop, as someone who should only exist to complete Oliver, to only caringly aid his hero journey whenever possible at the expense of her own emotions and development, to create adorable Olicity scenes, to say cute and funny things, and to occasionally have those “YAASSSS GIRL!” moments which easily fit into the kindergarten definition of feminism. If she doesn’t fit perfectly into this box (aka if she’s allowed to be human), she’s accused of being “selfish” “whiny” “a bitch” etc.
Nobody should be required to stay in a relationship in which they don’t feel loved, trusted, or relied on properly, regardless of the mental health of the person they’re breaking up with. The erroneous idea that choosing yourself is inherently selfish and cruel really needs to be eliminated from the conversation concerning Olicity’s breakup. It’s coupled with the sexism that requires women to always put other people first, requires women to sacrifice our own feelings, to do everything for other people, the sexism that accuses us of being selfish if we dare look after our own emotional well being first.
Make no mistake: Felicity Smoak understood exactly why Oliver did what he did. She also was terribly hurt by it, felt betrayed, felt as though he doesn’t trust, include, or rely on her, and therefore chose not to continue to be in a relationship with him for now. She did it for her, she looked after herself first, and she broke up with him. She as a human being isn’t required to sacrifice her emotions for Oliver’s well being, and she’s not selfish for not doing so. It’s that simple.

i’ve had my good share of sobbing my eyes out over olicity today
There’s us.

“Oliver, you need someone to remind you of who you are.”
#she’s always had a different approach#her criticism is careful and logical#and when she does get angry#she makes it about her#I made a mistake signing on with you#I need some air#because she’s smart and she’s kind#and she knows how to fight fair#and Oliver carries around the weight of every one of these moments#for all that he is forgiven by each of them later#it stings and it stays#and he needs the push of those words#but also the pull of hers (via notababoonbrandishingastick)
Tagged: BEHOLD: EXCELLENT META, and if you don’t think, that felicity is deliberately; cautiously; carefully; judiciously guiding oliver, onto a better path, towards a better version of himself towards the potential she has been seeing all along, and he’s only just starting to believe in, then you haven’t been paying attention, she doesn’t push too hard about heroism, instead she draws stark illustrations about choice about what is right and what is wrong, not what is moral and lawful and what is immoral and illegal, but RIGHT–the wright thing to do the true good–and WRONG–what cannot be jusitifed and more what SHOULDN’T, she pointedly draws attention to the correlation between ability and responsibility, between duty and choice, and how duty is good to uphold but it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t CHOOSE to uphold it, felicity is building a superhero from a damaged man and spare parts, (all the spare parts are his and always have been; he doesn’t realize it; her ability to hand him, parts of himself he doesn;t recognize because he never looked at them before, and convince him that these parts can belong to him–when really they always have, is just one of the ways in which felicity smoak is pure magic),
