I-I'm on your side with this, but maybe the problem about the whole identity v.s biological sex issue is that most people don't know what to say? I use Male!Body / Female!Body but is there anything that you think is better?

male/female body was the very first suggestion that my boofriend came up with, and said that was the term boo was most comfortable with. as of right now, i believe that's the best course of action we can take until i can get in touch with boo again and ask if there would be anything more preferrable.

this fandom is extrememly reluctant to change. it took days and weeks of work to get people to realize tagging triggers was a basic courtousy. it took so long to point out the bad sayings going around, and we still havent fully gotten there yet. whenever someone brings up a sensitive issue everyone immeadiatly pulls the "whoa calm down and let it go, it's not that big of a deal to me so it shouldnt really matter" card. i am calm. i will not let it go. just because something isnt a problem to you doesnt mean it's not a problem to other people, and treating them like that while claiming to be open-minded and respectful is outrageously offensive. people have left this fandom because of the lack of respect. i myself have seriously considered doing the same.

im not saying that everything here is bad. there are many creative and talented and wonderful people here, and i've made a lot of friends. i enjoyed myself for a while--until i realized that polietly asking for things would get me nowhere. i've asked and asked and asked over and over again. i've tried so hard to be paitent and understanding with everyone and i still am.

but after a while of being told that "it's not a big deal" and that im "making a fuss over nothing," you get angry. i've been angry. i've made agressive and hostile posts--because i was fed up. i got nowhere sitting back and trying to explain because no one would listen. and then, when i DID show my anger--people were repulsed. i was 'overbearing'. i admit, i probably was. im not going to excuse my actions. 

but it would've helped if you'd taken the time to sit down and listen in the first place.

is there a preferable term? i haven’t heard of anything that adequately encompasses sex and gender. (“gender play” and “orientation play” both seem to only imply gender rather than both gender and sex, and i’ve heard “cis swap” be suggested, which seems better, but it excludes genderqueer characters.)

that's a very good point i didnt manage to get to in that post, thank you for bringing it back up. the idea of "swapping" implies that each gender has an exact opposite and that is also not true--but to be honest im not sure of a term that encompasses that either. im definitely going to look into this right now and find a solution
