my life isnt perfect but at least im not doing a mans laundry

the replacement of websites with apps sounds so backwards when you actually describe it. like hmm you have to download an entire program onto your device each time you want access to a portal, where it takes up storage indefinitely. somebody should invent an app where you can "browse" any portal just by typing in its address... 🥴

and this should be common sense but:

if you ask someone out & set a time & place, follow through

if you've invested time & energy into someone but you've changed your mind about them, tell them; don't ghost them

it's okay to not be interested in someone but if they like you & think you like them, you need to tell them the truth

I can't believe this is still happening in my 30s. actual scam.

I'm so sick of dating being like this!! I'm stuck in this pattern of things not working out & I can't work out how to get myself free!!

so just quietly, I have a date lined up for saturday with a brand new guy I've been chatting to on hinge - and he asked me out after just a few days of messaging, and he decided on the time & location within minutes of asking me out! all I needed to do was say when I was available! amazing!

it's week 2 of the school holidays, meaning that I'm back at work in less than a week, and my sleep schedule's stuffed & I've done none of the school work I was supposed to & personal hygiene is an Effort

so I've got just a few days to lock in & become a functioning member of society again
