Your last day at the cabin wasn’t nearly as hectic as you expected it to be. As usual, you were woken up by the sounds coming from Sophia’s room, but you couldn’t blame the two of them for your exhaustion—you kept yourself up until the early hours of the morning by listening to sad music and thinking the worst about yourself.
Somehow, you found yourself replaying every single thing your friends have said about the way you treated Taehyung until you convinced yourself that you were the one who treated him terribly all this time and that you completely deserved how he treated you.
Jungkook said that you were always the one who started fights with Taehyung by saying something mean. You never really saw it that way, but Jungkook was objective since he was friends with both of you, and he claimed that was the case.
Then, Hoseok reminded you of the time you told Taehyung that he deserved someone cheating on him, which is a terrible thing to say to anyone, really. You weren’t sure what you were thinking and what had struck a nerve to cause you to say it, but whatever it was, it wasn’t worth it. No matter what Taehyung had told you, it wasn’t okay for you to tell him that, especially because you didn’t mean it.
Yoongi said something along the lines of you two being equally mean to each other, while Sophia pointed out the fact that you never had anything nice to say about Taehyung, which wasn’t fair of you.
Yes, for the longest time, you two have been fighting and bickering, but your opinion about him started to change a couple of days ago yet you kept that to yourself and let everyone believe you hated him. You couldn’t even get yourself to admit to Sophia that you liked Taehyung for real, not just because he was pretending to be uninterested.
The more you thought about the conversation Taehyung had overheard, the worse you felt. Sophia and you talked about him as if he was some creep lurking around you and she acted like everyone knew he wanted to be with you, but couldn’t, so he acted out, which clearly wasn’t the case—he could be with you and he knew it. As a matter of fact, you wanted that to happen. You, of all people, wanted him after being so adamant about never hooking up with random people, sleeping with people you knew and trusted, not engaging in risky behavior, and all that crap. It wasn’t like you at all and the only reason you could think of was Taehyung.
The thought of sleeping with Jongho, who seemed like the safer choice, had never once crossed your mind. You didn’t even think about kissing him, let alone something else. Sleeping with Taehyung seemed to be on your mind a lot more than you were willing to admit.
All these thoughts kept you up most of the night, so when Sophia and Jungkook woke you up, you realized that trying to fall asleep would be futile. You got up and showered, trying to think of a good plan to try to make Taehyung understand that you weren’t a bitch who was making fun of him and that your intentions were good. Clearly, you’d have a hard time trying to prove that, but you could at least try. Leaving things as they were wasn’t really an option. It would just make things more awkward for everyone involved, and you’d never know if you two had a chance of working out.
By the time you got dressed and walked downstairs, everyone had gone somewhere.
Well, almost everyone. Hoseok was feeling better, luckily, and he finally managed to come downstairs to the living room to spend time with you all. To his disappointment, Sophia and Jungkook had already decided to take a walk again, saying they wanted to use the day as much as they could, or at least that’s what you heard them saying as they walked out. Yoongi said he wanted to go to town to get some things for the trip tomorrow and nobody decided to join him, so he left right after the lovebirds, leaving only the three of you there. You walked down to the living room feeling like an intruder—Hoseok and Taehyung were friends and they were having a conversation which died down as soon as you showed up. Taehyung was clearly upset with you and you didn’t want to make things awkward for Hoseok by joining them.
“Hey,” you said and tried to make your way to the kitchen as fast as you could without seeming rude. You did your best not to even look at Taehyung. “Glad to see you down here!”
“Thanks,” Hoseok grinned at you and turned to the side to face you. Nothing on his face showed that anything about this situation was uncomfortable, which led you to the conclusion that Taehyung didn’t even mention it to his friend. “I’m feeling a bit better, so I thought why not come downstairs and snoop around a bit? You never know what you can hear.”
“Good thinking,” you chuckled, knowing this was completely true. “Is that why everyone left?”
Taehyung turned the TV on and sighed, pretending you weren’t there, which both you and Hoseok seemed to notice, or at least that’s what Hoseok’s worried look told you. He glanced at Taehyung, whose eyes were glued to the screen, and then he quickly looked at you again.
“I hope not! What are your plans for today? It’s the last day here, after all,” he wiggled his eyebrows.
“I don’t have any,” you shrugged, taking a step towards the kitchen once it became even more glaringly clear that Taehyung really didn’t want you there. “I’m going to eat something and then… Probably go upstairs. I don’t want to bother you guys.”
“Don’t say that, you’re not a bother!” Hoseok chuckled again, a warm smile spreading over his face. His smiles were contagious so you couldn’t help but smile back, even though it didn’t last long. The tension in the room could be cut with a knife and even the cheerful Hoseok noticed it. “Isn’t that right, Taehyung?”
Hoseok looked at Taehyung questioningly, leaving him with no choice other than to agree despite it being obvious that he was against the idea of you staying there and spending time with them. “Yeah, sure.”
“Don’t worry about it,” you said and left for the kitchen, hoping Hoseok wouldn’t try to convince you to join him, which he didn’t.
You ate breakfast alone in the kitchen, which made you feel even more lonely. You weren’t sure how you got yourself in this situation or how you could get out of it. Taehyung hated you, Hoseok felt awkward around you, and they were the only two people there. You texted Sophia, the only person you could talk to around here, asking when the two of them would get back and save you from your misery.
Sophia: what happened? Tae came down last night and seemed super pissed
After he slammed the door in your face, you went to your room, got under the covers and fumed with anger for a while, before realizing you had it coming. What you didn’t know was that Taehyung decided to join his friends downstairs. You weren’t even sure why that mattered to you—you were there to hang out with people, after all. He had every right to spend the night having fun with his friends, not thinking about the girl who kissed him and then said she wasn’t interested.
You: I tried to talk to him and let’s just say it did not go well
Sophia: so he heard us?
You: yup
Sophia: ok, but we weren’t mean or anything, why’s he mad?
You: I think we might have been
Sophia: he’s exaggerating
Sophia: don’t worry, we’ll be back soon
Luckily, Sophia and Jungkook came back half an hour later, as promised, and Sophia came looking for you in the kitchen as soon as they got back, realizing that you really needed a friend. She gave you a funny look when she walked in, but she spoke only after she got close to you.
“Did you say anything to him?” She almost whispered at you and the whole thing made you chuckle—you knew she was trying to keep her voice down because of Taehyung but it was a bit too late for that.
“Why are you whispering?” You asked in a normal tone of voice, but she shushed you immediately.
“Because I don’t want to make the same mistake twice,” she glared at you. Sometimes she seemed completely disinterested in everyone other than Jungkook, but you knew that was just an impression. She actually cared a lot more than people thought. “Besides, he’s right there in the living room.”
“Yeah, I know,” you sighed and got back to chopping the vegetables for lunch later. Seeing as nobody else was there earlier and you had nothing better to do, you decided to make lunch today, so you started with preparation right away to make things easier later on when you’d cook. “He didn’t say a word to me.”
“He ignored me too,” Sophia huffed and leaned on the counter. “I think he’s blowing things out of proportion because we didn’t say anything mean. In fact, I did say he’s a great guy, and you said you liked him. Maybe he’s just mad because I was right about you not showing interest in him before all of this happened. But that’s not a lie.”
“Yes,” you agreed, sighing before turning to face her. “That’s true, I’d never felt attracted to him until the fight we had the other night, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t feel that way now.”
“What fight?” Sophia asked, frowning, but then suddenly shook her head. “You guys fight all the time. What was so different about this fight?”
“He, uh,” you cleared your throat, realizing you haven’t spoken about this to anyone yet because you didn’t want to make things awkward for anyone, but it seemed too late for that now. “We just insulted each other, you know, same old, and then he told me he wanted to,” you suddenly felt the need to lower your voice. “Fuck me. Like, he just said it like that, and I was… So surprised. But I realized I don’t find the idea appalling. Weird, right?”
“Wait, he really said that?” Sophia seemed confused before nodding in approval. “Good for him. I mean, it sucks that you two have that kind of a dynamic if that’s how you feel about each other, but it’s good that he managed to say that to your face. I still don’t think you should do it. I mean, he’s upset because we talked about him, what the hell?”
“I think he was more hurt by me saying I’m not sure whether I liked him or not. The night before that, we… In the cab, we kissed. Well, made out,” as you spoke, you could see how Sophia’s mouth slowly opened in shock. “And I, uh, I don’t know… I like him, I think. And I sometimes think he likes me, but I think it’s just about sex for him. He’s a guy and all that. So yeah, that’s the thing.”
Sophia sat down for a second, looking around as if she was trying to process this information. “I can’t believe this. Yesterday, you said something like you two just kissed, I didn’t think it was such a big deal. But if you’re thinking about sleeping with him, it is.”
“Exactly,” you said, you sighed with relief once you realized she wasn’t going to make fun of you for liking him or try to stop you from thinking about him. “There’s something abou—” You were interrupted mid-sentence by Taehyung who opened the door, glared at the two of you and then walked to the stove in silence. You felt a bit hurt when you looked at him, all broody and upset, walking right past you as if you weren’t even there.
You and Sophia looked at each other questioningly but weren’t sure if you should say something or not. He clearly wasn’t in the mood to talk to either one of you, so maybe there would be no point in saying anything. He was making tea, or at least that’s how it seemed as he stood a couple of feet away from you, glaring at the kettle as if that would make the water boil any faster.
“Guys, I’m sorry I have to do this,” Sophia got up quickly and your heart fell down to your stomach. What was she going to say? You couldn’t risk this thing blowing up even more. “But you’re both being fools. Tae, sorry if we said something mean, I’m not sure what you’ve heard, bu—” she was interrupted by Taehyung’s loud groan, which you took as a sign she shouldn’t continue, but she did. “But I can assure you nothing bad was said about you. In fact, my friend here was trying to let me know she liked you, which is a hard thing to admit after she called you annoying so many times, but I think you kind of get that since it’s clear you feel the same way,” she spoke as she walked backwards to the door and grinned. “This seems like a great time for you guys to talk it out!”
With that, she ran out with a giggle, leaving you two in complete silence. Really? You couldn’t blame Sophia for anything—she did what she thought was the right thing, and it probably was. You two had to talk it out before ruining the end of the trip for everyone and your friendship for good. You were more shocked by the fact that Taehyung was still silent. He wasn’t going to say a single word about this when it was clear your friend wanted you two to talk about it? She was right, you were a fool.
“Nothing, seriously?” You asked, getting back to chopping as a way of distracting yourself. You couldn’t look at him so you focused on the vegetables in front of you, letting the sounds of the knife hitting the board fill your ears and replace the embarrassing silence.
“What do you want me to say?” Taehyung said, still staring at the kettle, sounding defeated.
“Anything?” You said with a sigh, realizing you were begging him to give you attention. That was beneath you. If he really cared about this thing at all, he could make an effort to say a single thing or react in any way other than keep his mouth shut. “No, forget it.”
“I said what I had to say last night,” Taehyung mumbled, his hair falling over his eyes, which you noticed after you gathered the courage to look at him for a second. “Once you start treating me like you treat other people, we’re good.”
“Like I treat who, exactly?” Now you had no choice but to face him—he was starting to annoy you.
“Hm, I don’t know,” Taehyung pretended to be confused. He was rubbing his chin with his index fingers and frowning and you just knew he’d say something spiteful. “How about everyone else? No, wait. How about Jongho?”
“Jongho?” You asked, trying hard not to laugh because you knew this wasn’t the time for that, but what he was saying was just ridiculous. Taehyung and you weren’t close at all, so he clearly didn’t know the first thing about your dating life, let alone Jongho who was never an option in the first place. He’d heard a part of the conversation and made up a whole scenario in his head where you were this mean girl who was leading two guys on. “Really?”
“Yeah,” Taehyung shrugged with an annoyed expression. You wondered how he looked ten times hotter when he was angry. Is that why you kept annoying him, so you could get a good look at his furrowed brows and angry stare? “Or is he too good for that as well?”
Obviously, your conversation with Sophia about Jongho had rubbed him the wrong way. He didn’t know the whole story, which is why he was reacting this way, and that was understandable, even though it was wrong. Why was he so blinded by this idea that you were as bitchy as he thought that he refused to see things for what they really were?
“Taehyung, you don’t know what you’re talking about,” you told him as calmly as possible, hoping it was getting to him. Your point here wasn’t to argue or be mean to him, even though he was talking nonsense. “Jongho is Sophia’s friend.”
“And she thinks he’d be the perfect guy for you, and you think he’s such a nice guy,” he grunted and then sighed with relief when the water boiled, lucky to finally be able to get out of there. “How nice.”
“This is stupid. I don’t even think about the dude, let alone consider being with him,” you admitted, which made him freeze for a second. He quickly pulled himself together and poured the water into the cup. “I think about you.”
Taehyung shot a glance at you, as if he was trying to see if you were playing tricks on him. When he realized you weren’t, he looked away. “Yeah, is that why Sophia and Jungkook didn’t know anything happened? Is that why everyone thinks you can’t stand me?”
“Do you want everyone to know? Is that the point here?” You asked, moving away from the counter and wiping off your hands on your thighs.
“No,” Taehyung said and grabbed the cup, clearly deciding to get out of there. “I’m just… Disappointed.”
“By what?” You didn’t want to let it go because you could tell this was important. If you let it go now, when could you bring it up again? Taehyung and you always avoided each other and you were sure things would stay the same. He’d still avoid you until you both forget anything had ever happened. The only problem was that you didn’t want to forget.
“I don’t know,” he turned towards the door, not even glancing your way. “Just hearing you say you’ve never liked me the morning after making out with me kind of sucks. And knowing you hate me so much that you don’t even want your friends to know that you’ve kissed me. I mean, Soph was so shocked to find out you’d do that. I wonder why.”
His words instantly made you feel terrible because you tried to put yourself in his shoes. What if it had been the other way around and if you were the one who overheard a similar conversation between Taehyung and Jungkook? You wouldn’t feel good about it, especially not if you knew Jungkook wanted Taehyung to be with someone else, whom he thought of as the better option. You’d feel even worse if you heard that Jungkook was shocked Taehyung thought of you that way.
“Do you think I’m ashamed of it or something?”
“Yeah, pretty much,” Taehyung chuckled, even though nothing was funny, that much was clear from his face. “This is stupid. Forget about it.”
“No,” you shrugged and walked to the door, beating him to it. “It’s not stupid.”
You opened the door to the living room and found Sophia, Jungkook and Hoseok sitting on the sofas in complete silence, which probably meant they were trying to listen in on your conversation to find out more about what was going on behind closed doors. Hoseok scrambled to get the remote and turn the TV on and Yoongi had just walked inside, taking off his beanie and scarf, clearly not yet in on the whole thing. Taehyung followed you into the living room and brought the tea to Hoseok without addressing anything.
“Hey, guys, I wanted to say something,” you said, feeling like your voice would give out as your heart beat so loud it was the only thing you could hear. You walked in so sure of your decision, but now that all eyes were on you, your confidence fled.
All heads turned in your direction and Yoongi scoffed, as grumpy as ever. “Please don’t give a heart-warming speech about what a good time you had with us here on this trip because I might just throw up.”
Even though his comment was funny, you couldn’t laugh. “No, it’s… I like Taehyung. In case you didn’t know. Things are awkward, so there, I said it.”
You expected your friends to be shocked, to say the least. Why you even went out and said something like that was beyond you, but you figured that was one way to make Taehyung aware of how you really felt. You two wouldn’t get the chance to try this thing out if he kept thinking you were hiding it from everyone else.
“And?” Hoseok looked at you questioningly, like what you said was the most irrelevant thing ever. “Is that supposed to surprise us?”
“Yeah, what’s the next thing you’ll say, that he likes you?” Yoongi pretended to be shocked and he placed his hand over his mouth just to glare at you right after, showing none of this was a surprise to them. “Shocker.”
Sophia gave you a questioning stare, but thankfully, decided to keep her mouth shut.
Taehyung cleared his throat and seemed to be at a loss for words. Well, at least one person was shocked by your confession. “Aaaand we’re going to go discuss this,” he said and gently pushed you towards the kitchen with a fake smile on his face.
As soon as the doors closed behind you two, the smile disappeared. “What are you doing?”
“You said that I need to treat you like I treat others, right? And you think I’m hiding this, so… Now I’m not,” you shrugged, which made him chuckle. “Sorry if I embarrassed you.”
“I think you embarrassed yourself,” Taehyung shrugged it off and acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Really? You went out and admitted to liking him in front of his best friends and he wasn’t even happy about it? “I thought it was kind of cool.”
“Good,” you said with a grin, feeling like a weight was lifted off your shoulders. “Now that that’s out of the way, are we good?”
“I don’t see why not,” Taehyung agreed and headed back to the living room. As soon as he walked out, he was greeted by cheers and you took a deep breath before joining them in the living room, knowing that they wouldn’t shut up about it.
Thankfully, it seemed that at least one of them had the tiny bit of decency to ask them all not to be too annoying while you two were in the kitchen. That much was clear after they all started talking at the same time about unrelated topics. You had an inkling of doubt about the person being Jungkook because he was the only one who hadn’t commented on it, but you caught him winking at Taehyung when you two joined the rest of them.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Two hours later, lunch was off to a great start in a similar tone when Yoongi and Hoseok insisted that you and Taehyung sat next to each other instead of at the opposite ends of the table like you always did—you liked sitting as far away from him as you could.
You usually sat on the opposite head of the table, while the lovebirds sat on your right, and Yoongi and Hoseok on your left. Now, they were insisting that Taehyung and you take their spots. You were reluctant at first but seeing as they were not going to drop it, you gave in and sat next to Taehyung.
What was the worst thing that could happen? If you played along, maybe they’d leave you alone.
“Hey, can you pass the salt? It’s right next to the guy you like,” Jungkook grinned at you, which made everyone chuckle. Well, everyone except you, but only because you knew they would never let you live this down.
It seemed like all of them were ganging up on you with the cheeky comments and even though they weren’t offensive, you felt like you were the butt of the joke here and that Taehyung wasn’t doing anything to help. In fact, he was laughing along.
“You guys look so cute together,” Hoseok clapped excitedly, which almost made you laugh. They were acting stupid, but it seemed like they were having a lot of fun with this, so you didn’t want to ruin it for them.
“They need to sit together on our way back tomorrow,” Yoongi suggested, to which everyone readily agreed. Oh, great, you forgot about the trip ahead of you where they wouldn’t shut up about the two of you.
“So cute,” Jungkook mumbled and then gave you a wink.
“You guys have competition now,” Hoseok looked at Jungkook with a raised eyebrow. “Should we get ready for tonight?”
“Exactly, so you’d better be nice before we start making more noise than these two animals,” Taehyung finally spoke up, even though it wasn’t helping.
Really? Did he really mean this? And why did he say it in front of everyone? You throbbed at the idea of being fucked by him, mostly because you thought he’d be loud and rough, and you wanted nothing more than that. Fuck, you were too far gone already.
“Want to make it into a competition?” Jungkook said cockily but the grin was wiped off his face the second he noticed Sophia glaring at him. “Guess not.”
“We should go out or something tonight,” Yoongi spoke up, nodding at Hoseok, who was clearly into the idea even though he wasn’t doing that much better. “Leave the lovebirds to it.”
You rolled your eyes and ate as fast as you could, wishing for lunch to be over as soon as possible. While the jokes weren’t spiteful, you still didn’t feel 100% comfortable talking about this in front of everyone when things were so shaky with him.
The rest of the day was awkward since you felt like all eyes were on you and Taehyung whenever you were in the same room. It seemed like everyone expected something to happen, for you two to talk about feelings in front of everyone, or to flirt, and both Taehyung and you seemed to be opposed to the idea. You didn’t even catch him glancing your way once while you all hung out in the living room, which made you feel like you fucked up by telling everyone you were into him. It was necessary for this thing to go on, but it also seemed to put an end to it at the same time.
The atmosphere changed later on in the day as the rest of your friends seemed to know something you didn’t. You’ve noticed them exchange looks throughout the day without talking to each other and when you’d ask them what was up, they would pretend nothing was going on.
Either they were up to something or you were losing your mind. Taehyung and you avoided each other as much as possible, not because you didn’t want to talk to each other, but because everyone was making such a big deal out of it. You figured you two would start talking once things calmed down and something more exciting than you two liking each other happened, so you spent the afternoon playing board games with Yoongi and the original lovebirds.
“Let’s get dressed up and go have dinner in the town”, Sophia suggested all of a sudden and Yoongi and Jungkook agreed without hesitation.
You thought it might be a good idea to go out and have fun before leaving tomorrow. Besides, if everyone decided to go out after dinner, you could get a chance to talk to Taehyung without being in the spotlight, which you could use. You’d be going back home tomorrow and knowing you and Taehyung, neither one would make the first move and you wouldn’t see each other again until your friends invited you to a group hangout, and you weren’t sure that was okay for you. On the other hand, you weren’t sure if you wanted to be the one to initiate a date or anything of the sort. It’d go to his head, for sure.
These ideas occupied you while you took a shower, dried your hair, and got ready for dinner. At seven, when you were supposed to meet in the living room, Sophia knocked on your door to get you.
When you walked downstairs, you realized what they were up to—the dinner table was set up for two, a takeout three course meal was waiting on it, along with a bottle of wine. Taehyung was arguing with his friends over something—probably the fact that they were so desperately trying to make this happen that it was becoming uncomfortable— but they went quiet when you walked downstairs, hand in hand with Sophia.
“You look wonderful!” Hoseok clapped excitedly and then pointed to the table. “Your dinner is waiting for you, we’ll get going.”
“What’s all this?” You looked around the room, your gaze lingering on Taehyung in a white button-up for a bit longer than you intended.
Jungkook walked over to you, wrapped his arm around your shoulders and walked you over towards the table. “We wanted you two to have some privacy since you haven’t really had any, so… Here’s our way of giving you that.”
“Don’t you think this is a bit much?” Taehyung groaned and shook his head, to which you chuckled.
There was no fighting them, though. They all quickly went out of the room, leaving no chance for you two to fight back or complain about their actions. It seemed like neither of you two was fighting that hard against it, anyway.
“Well,” Taehyung turned to you and spread his arms out, shrugging. “Shall we?”
“Why not?” You grinned, letting him pull a chair out for you. “We’re already here.”
“Exactly,” he nodded and started serving the soup, acting all professional. “Can I be honest?”
“Be my guest,” you nodded, opening the bottle of wine since you knew a couple of glasses would be necessary to keep the conversation flowing in the right direction.
It’s not that you weren’t into Taehyung—it’s that you two rarely had sober, normal conversations. Whenever you talked sober, you ended up arguing. Lately, when you talked drunk, things would take off in a different direction, which you had nothing against. That’s exactly why you needed some liquid courage.
“I’m kind of glad they did this,” he grinned. “Bon appetit.”
You agreed with him and dug into your soup after you poured him a glass of wine as well. Once you were done with the soup, you were the one to hand him the main course and fill up both your glasses.
Taehyung did his best to keep the conversation going by commenting on the quality of the food. When he ran out of compliments, he switched to making comments on how funny your friends were for trying to set it up. When you hashed out that topic, it seemed like there was nothing left to say.
To be more precise, the things you wanted to say couldn’t exactly be said just like that, without alcohol drowning out your sense of shame. You did want to get to know him better, but words just weren’t coming when things felt so forced. Walks were more of your type of first dates—they left you with enough room to look at the other person if you wanted to and enough excuses to look around and not focus on them. At the dinner, you had no option other than to look at your plate or Taehyung.
He’d stare at the plate, eat, say how good the food was, sneak a glance your way, and quickly look around. Once he’d had enough of the awkwardness, he took a big gulp of his wine, and you did the same, hoping it would get you to relax.
“Back when we met,” you spoke, breaking the silence that seemed to last for hours. “What were you going to say to me? You said I cut you off before I gave you the chance to speak, or something like it.”
Taehyung looked at you with a raised eyebrow and continued to chew on the meat for a while, not taking his eyes off of you. For some reason, it seemed like your question gave him some confidence.
Once he swallowed, he cleared his throat and decided to respond. “I was just going to say that I’ve seen you around and that I heard Jungkook was dating Sophia so I wanted to introduce myself. Something like that, I guess. Maybe I’d come up with something better.”
“You weren’t going to tell me you want to fuck me?” You cocked your head to the side and looked at him innocently, hoping the question would mess with him. The two glasses of wine were getting to your head and you had no problem with it. Quite the opposite, it was making you a lot more courageous than usual.
“I, uh,” Taehyung took a big gulp of wine again and looked at you, a glimpse of insecurity in his eyes after all. “I’m not that straightforward. I wouldn’t say that to someone I didn’t even know.”
“Well, you said that the other night…” You let your voice trail off as you thought about the night that had changed everything for you two. It was hard to get over the cockiness in his eyes and voice, which is why you’d replayed the night in your head over and over again.
“Listen, back when we met, you were a stranger. Did I want to fuck you? Hell yeah,” he looked down at your cleavage and then back at your face, deciding to go down the cocky road again. “Was I going to say that right to your face? Absolutely not. Have some faith in me,” he chuckled. “I don’t talk to women that way, especially not women I don’t know. The other day, you, uh, frustrated me to the point where I just wanted to tell you, I guess.”
You nodded slowly, realizing where he was coming from. Just because most of the guys you met while partying were crude and gross didn’t mean that he had to be like that. After all, none of his friends were that gross either. You believed that he wouldn’t talk to you that way, well, at least back then.
“Funny, I didn’t take you for that kind of a guy,” you said and went back to eating your steak, aware of his eyes on you.
“What do you mean?”
“I just thought you were some random guy who wanted to fuck,” you shrugged it off. “And from that point on, you were mean to me and I never thought about you at all. I guess I thought you had a huge ego and couldn’t stand me because I said no.”
“I’m not like that,” Taehyung shook his head and leaned back in his chair. It felt like he was inspecting your every move, and for some reason, the way he was looking at you turned you on. Maybe the wine was finally working on both of you, or maybe you got tired of beating around the bush.
“What are you like?” You threw the ball into his court, hoping he’d finally reveal something.
“What do you mean?” He licked his lips and stared directly into his eyes, letting you know he understood exactly what you meant. “What do you want to know?”
“What are you into? What do you want?” You asked, watching his eyes open fully as he took your question in. It was clear that he wasn’t expecting you to be so straightforward, which entertained you. “If we’re doing this, I think I should know.”
“I’m into…” he cleared his throat, looking shy for the first time in a long time, which didn’t really suit him. “A lot of things.”
“A man of few words indeed,” you sighed and took a sip of the wine, looking at him over it, hoping he’d give a bit more.
“I’d say I prefer it rough,” the way he said the word while looking straight at you made you press your thighs together. “I don’t usually treat women that way, but when in bed, things kind of change. I’m sure you get me.”
You nodded because you did and you also loved hearing about it, so you didn’t want to speak and ruin the mood. You wanted him to go on, so you raised an eyebrow and smiled at him.
“But sometimes, I like it slow and steady. Sometimes I like a lot of foreplay, sometimes I just want to dive right in,” a smirk played on his lips as he said that, and you imagined him just entering you while glaring into your eyes like that and it made your stomach turn with excitement. “It depends on the person and the mood.”
“You...” Taehyung stuck his tongue out to lick his lips and looked up, as if he was just now thinking about it for the first time. You knew exactly what you would like to do with him. “Since you’re a bit… bratty, let’s say, I’d treat you that way. Bend you over, give it to you rough. You can’t stand me, so I’m sure you wouldn’t want to look at me while we fuck, or for me to be gentle and kiss you a lot or, god forbid, cuddle,” he grinned at you, knowing he read the room well. You would love to have him do that, but he was wrong about one thing—you would love to have him kiss you, too. He misjudged you. You’d also love to stare right into his eyes as he fucked you—you were sure that would help you get off faster. “Would you like that?”
“Me?” You leaned in and chuckled. “I’m kind of imagining it more along the lines of you lying on your back and letting me do all the work,” you chuckled, and he seemed intrigued by the idea. “You love to hear yourself talk, so I’m guessing you’re like that in bed. You talk the talk, but once it comes down to it, you have to focus on not coming fast.. One of those guys who like to tell you they’re fucking you so well and they are so deep inside of you… You know?”
You cocked your head to the side and licked your lips, enjoying the sight of him squirming in his seat. He looked amused by your words and nodded to keep you going.
“So I’d make sure you did your part, instead of having me do all the work,” you shrugged. “Where’s the fun in all of that?”
“You’d have fun, trust me,” Taehyung chuckled and took another gulp of wine. “I might have been that type of guy before, you’re right… Promised a lot of things just to get laid, and then when I finally got to it, I’d just focus on not busting right away,” he chuckled and looked to the side, as if he were remembering something. “But I’ve got some experience now… Know how to not bust the second I feel a wet pussy wrapped around me.”
You shifted in your seat the second he said the words, imagining how it would feel to have your pussy wrap around him, and to feel him enter you. You were really losing it—not only were you having dinner with Taehyung and enjoying it, but you were talking about how hard he’d fuck you. The craziest part was that you liked it. It wasn’t like you to discuss sexual things with guys you barely knew. Okay, you two made out, but that didn’t mean you were intimate now and that he knew everything about you. Yet, something about him made you feel like it was okay for you to say these things to him.
“Even if it’s you. Granted, I’d have to try a little harder with you since all this bickering makes me really want you, but that’s just one more reason to not disappoint you,” he grinned and downed the rest of his wine. “I’d want it to happen again.”
“Oh,” you cleared your throat and drank the rest of your wine before grabbing the bottle again. You seemed flustered because you were—you weren’t expecting this kind of honesty from him at this point. “Sounds fun.”
“Right?” Taehyung stuck his tongue out to wet his bottom lip. “I know it will be fun.”
“So it’s happening for sure?” You asked, almost chuckling as you appreciated the cockiness. He knew he had you, and he was showing off.
“If we both want it, why not?” Taehyung leaned back in his chair and as he did, his white button-up moved to this side, revealing a bit more of his toned chest. “We’re both adults.”
You nodded in agreement, taking a big gulp of the wine. “Desert?”
For a second, Taehyung’s eyes widened as he thought you were offering yourself as desert. However, when he realized what you meant, he calmed down and chuckled. “Why not?”
Even the cake was fabulous and you had to admit that your friends had gone out of their way for you two. Maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea after all, if so many of your mutual friends wanted it to happen. What if Taehyung was actually the type of guy you were looking for? Not just the I-want-him-to-fuck-me-raw-until-I-can’t-feel-my-legs type of guy, but someone you could care for. You toyed with the idea as you ate desert and listened to Taehyung talk about the things he wanted to see tomorrow on the way back.
Before you knew it, there was nothing on your plates and an awkward silence ensued. Thankfully, Taehyung seemed to be a bit more confident than you, so he stood up and started clearing up the table.
“Let me help,” you got up and carried your three plates to the kitchen.
“I wash, you wipe?” Taehyung suggested when you walked into the kitchen, carrying the containers the food came in.
He pushed his sleeves up and started washing while you looked around for a clean cloth. Taehyung hummed some song and you stayed quiet, enjoying the moment. You rarely got to see him so happy, so you didn’t want to ruin the moment.
“I had a really great time,” he said, handing you the forks to dry. “Thanks for not running away.”
“I wouldn’t do that,” you shook your head at him. You were standing right next to each other and he suddenly seemed so tall, manly, and confident—or it might have been the wine and your sexual needs. “I had fun, too.”
“I think this was the first normal conversation we’ve had,” he cocked an eyebrow up and handed you the knives. “Without arguing.”
“So far,” you suggested, making him chuckle and grab another plate to wash. “You’re right, I don’t think we’ve ever talked so much.”
“You’re much easier to talk to than I thought,” he admitted with a sigh.
“So are you,” you shrugged. “In all fairness, I guess conversations flow better when you’re not insulting the other person.”
“True,” he agreed, handing you the last plate. “Still, even when we’re not arguing, the fact that I want to fuck you is kind of getting in the way.”
“Of a normal conversation?” You asked without hesitation, not wanting to show how taken aback you were by the question.
For the last ten minutes, you two were talking in the kitchen and doing the dishes, having a chat, and he just turned it sexual out of the blue. It’s not that you didn’t like it—far from it—but you didn’t want him to see that it affected you.
“Sometimes,” he grinned. “When you want someone, don’t you find it hard to keep up a normal conversation?” Taehyung dried off his hands and turned to his side to face you while your hips were still pressed against the kitchen sink, staring straight at the dishes instead of him.
“I do,” you decided to play the game too, so you turned to your side and faced him, which instantly made him smile. “Especially if he is so hot it annoys me.”
“Especially then,” Taehyung agreed and looked at your lips. He didn’t even try to hide it—his gaze lingered for a couple of seconds, long enough for you to understand what he wanted.
He seemed to be waiting for you to push him away or let him kiss you, so you leaned in first and the second you felt his lips on you, you shuddered. It’s been so long since you had a sober, honest kiss that you forgot how good it felt. However, the feeling might have come from the fact that you wanted him to fuck your brains out, but that was neither here nor there.
Surprisingly, the kiss was slow and soft, like a real kiss should be. It was miles away from the drunk kisses you two shared, but you liked it just as much. It served as proof that Taehyung could be gentle when he tried, so you enjoyed it while it lasted. Before you knew it, his arms were on either side of your hips and he sucked in your bottom lip to gently bite down on it, making you moan into the kiss.
“Fuck, don’t moan at me like that,” he pulled away, chuckling. “You can’t moan after the things you’ve told me.”
“Or what?” You teased, liking his grip on your hips.
“I’ll bend you over the table,” he cocked an eyebrow up. “And I won’t care that our friends can be back any minute.”
You throbbed and clenched around nothing at the mere thought of Taehyung using you as he pleased. You wished he would.
“Okay,” you grinned. “So maybe I should go upstairs and moan there?”
Taehyung hissed before licking his lips. “Let’s go.”
You were sure that the sight of the two of you racing upstairs was probably comical, but luckily, no one was there to witness it. The second he told you to go, you did, without thinking about the consequences. You followed him upstairs and, despite thinking he was taking you to his room, he stopped right in front of your bedroom door.
“Your turf?” He asked, grinning, to which you opened the door and let him in.
As soon as the door closed behind you, the atmosphere between you two changed completely. Earlier, you two were going slow, you were sweet to each other, teasing, but still respectful, testing the field. Now, once you were in your room, practically in the dark, all bets were off.
Taehyung placed his hands on your cheeks and pulled you in for a kiss. As soon as he felt you bite into his lips, he pushed himself into you and trapped you between him and the door, which made you groan with excitement. Maybe it was finally here, the moment you’d been waiting for.
He held your face for a long time while he kissed you and you let his tongue enter your mouth and turn you on even more. While he held you, your hands worked on unbuttoning the rest of the buttons on his shirt, and when you finally got the last one, you ran your hands across his chest, over his ribs, down his stomach, and stopped at the hem of his jeans, earning a hiss and a thrust from him.
Then, you moved upwards, letting your fingers graze his naked skin, making him shove his tongue in even deeper and pull your face closer to his own. Why was he so good at this? You were kissing for a couple of minutes and you were already tempted to grope him all over and feel every inch of him.
Luckily, Taehyung broke the kiss and took a deep breath, grunting and placing both hands against the door on each side of your head. He leaned in and pecked you. “Let’s, uh, slow down…” he exhaled loudly, looking into your eyes and then back at your lips. “Sorry, I got too carried away,” he took a step back.
“Is that a bad thing?” You asked, moving away from the door and walking towards the bed. “Isn’t that what you want to do?”
“I want to do a lot of things,” Taehyung took a step towards you, your noses almost touching. “But I can’t make this about me,” he pecked your lips. “Have to make a good impression,” this time, he kissed you, letting his lips linger for a bit. “If I want you to want it again,” he said before kissing you like he meant it.
“Don’t worry about that,” you mumbled into the kiss, even though you found it sweet that he was worrying about it. Very much unlike him—or better yet, unlike your perception of him.
As if that was all he needed to hear, Taehyung grabbed your waist and walked towards the bed, making you walk backwards until your calves rested against it. Then, he deepened the kiss and let his hand travel down to your ass so he could squeeze it, pressing your body against his, allowing you to feel his erection poking you in the stomach. You wanted him even more once you felt how hard he was for you.
While he was kissing you, you felt him pull your dress up from behind and scrunch it in his fist. “Can we get rid of this?” He grunted at you and after your nodd, pulled the dress over your head and threw it at the floor, leaving you in your underwear.
Taehyung took a second to ogle you while he got out of his jeans. The second they slid down his thighs, your eyes found his erection—hard and big, hiding under the confines of his tight gray boxers. “You look even better than I imagined,” he grinned before kissing you again, this time smacking your ass before squeezing it over and over again, enjoying the way your flesh felt in his big hand.
“Fuck,” you mumbled into the kiss, grabbing as much of him as you could—gripping his hair, tugging at his, squeezing his hand, his shoulder, his ass. How you became this into him over the course of a couple of days was a mystery, but you weren’t about to question it, especially not when Taehyung pushed you on the bed and towered over you, leaning in to kiss you, shoving his tongue inside of you.
“You’re so hot. Can’t get enough of you,” he told you in between kisses and his words made you want him even more. For some reason, it felt so good to hear this guy who’s been so mean to you say such things.
“Come here,” you grunted in return, hugging him, making him press his body against yours, allowing you to feel him on top of you. He smelled fantastic, kissed even better, and was rock hard against your pelvis. “Taehyung…”
“Yes?” He broke the kiss and looked straight into your eyes, his mouth open, breathing heavily, lips inches away from yours.
“This feels so good,” you grinned, making him chuckle and turn confident all of a sudden.
“Didn’t I promise it would?” He asked, cocking both his eyebrows up, which made you shake your head. “I feel like you’ll run out of air if I stay on top,” he said, rolling over to the side, propping his head up using his hand, resting his elbow next to your shoulder.
Then he looked at your face and down your half-naked body and inspected every inch of it slowly, making you feel like you were about to blush. It’s been a while since you were that close to someone, especially someone who loved to argue and poke fun at you.
This time was different, though. Nothing negative came out of his mouth. When he was done ogling your body, Taehyung licked his lips and leaned down to kiss you, his hand making its way to your stomach and then gently up to your breasts. He groped you over your bra, but he did it carefully, not squeezing too hard.
“Do you want it on?” He asked, giving you a questioning look.
Instead of answering, you arched your back and sneaked your hands behind your back to unclasp your bra. Then, you rested your back on the bed and Taehyung helped you get out of the bra. Once it joined your dress on the floor, Taehyung grinned and grabbed your breast right away, starting to play with it as he leaned in for another kiss.
He was rough, but just the way you liked it—his pulling on your breast didn’t hurt, but it caused enough friction to make you press your thighs together. The difference between the softness of his kiss and the way he grabbed your breasts was turning you on so much more than you imagined it would.
Then, he pinched your nipple softly, trying to see if you enjoyed it. The moan you let out told him you did, so he did it again, this time a bit harder, earning an even louder grunt from you.
You winced when he moved away from your face—you were enjoying his tongue on yours way too much—but you quickly sighed with relief when you felt his hot tongue on your other nipple, licking it before he sucked it inside his mouth and gently bit into your breast. “Fuck, that feels great,” you said it out loud as it was all you could think about.
Taehyung kept toying with your nipple, teasing it with the tip of his tongue, then sucking it all in, grabbing as much of your breast as he could in his mouth and suckling it, making you feel like he was going to eat you in the best way possible. “Where did you learn how to do that?” You asked, kicking your head back, feeling like you were going to explode if he didn’t touch you.
Taehyung moved away for a second, his mouth wet, and giggled. To stop him from giggling, you reached down and grabbed his erection over his boxers, which made him grunt loudly and stop moving for a while.
“Go on, touch it,” he leaned in to kiss you once again. “Make me feel good.”
Without a word, you reached into his underwear and did as you were told—you grabbed his cock and felt surprised at how silky his skin felt in comparison how hard it got. Taehyung lifted his hips and got rid of his underwear so you could have easier access to his cock, which you intended to fully use.
“Big enough?” He asked, cocking an eyebrow up. The confident fucker knew he was well above average and he was gloating about it.
“Hmmm,” you shrugged, pretending to be unaffected.
“Then you won’t mind if I stick it right in?” He said, clearly joking, but your heart stopped for a second at the thought of having him inside of you. Taehyung. The same obnoxious Taehyung you couldn’t stand until a couple of days ago. “Relax, no rush.”
“Stretch first,” you explained, to which he eagerly nodded and bit down on your breast again while letting his hand wander over to your underwear. He looked straight into your eyes as he cupped your mound and squeezed ever so gently, earning a thrust and moan from you, which he seemed very pleased with. “What are you so cocky about?” You muttered the words, not wanting to show him how much you were enjoying his touch, even though there was a piece of cloth separating his fingers from your hot wet cunt.
Taehyung kissed you, unable to decide whether he was supposed to play with your mouth or your nipples. “I just feel how wet you are, even over the fabric… You like me so much,” he chuckled and bit down on your lip.
To get him back, you brought your hand up to your mouth, licked your palm, making sure it was coated with your saliva and then returned it to his thick cock. He hissed the second he felt how slippery and warm your fingers were around him once they were wet, and how they glided all over his length. “I like you too, clearly,” he said, glancing at your hand around his cock, enjoying the sight. “If you continue to give me that look, I’ll shower you with cum in a couple of seconds.”
You knew he was joking, but you’d feel really happy if you got him to come so fast. Maybe you should try it sometimes—it would probably get him to stop being so overly confident. But then again, he had every reason to be.
“You say it like it’s a bad thing,” you said, tightening your grip around his cock, which made him pull your panties to the side and wet two of his fingers and then circle them around your hole and up to your clit, careful to touch every single place that felt good.
“If you tell me you’d enjoy that, I’ll be so tempted to do it,” he grunted, now starting to nibble on your ear, allowing you to look down your body and watch his fingers enter you gently. They fit in just right since you were soaking by that point and the fact that his cock was so hard in your hand and that Taehyung let out little hisses and grunts whenever you squeezed it tighter didn’t help your case.
“It sounds fun,” you teased, changing your pace to a much faster one, wanting to send him over the edge.
However, Taehyung had other plans. You knew his fingers were long—you’d seen them so many times before. What you didn’t know was that they were so fucking long they touched your g-spot. If you were being honest, you didn’t know men could find it without detailed instructions. Maybe it was an accident, maybe not, but the way you moaned his name told him he hit it, so he started to do it quickly, so much quicker than you usually enjoyed, but it felt great.
You were so wet, you could feel your juices inside of you, all over your crotch, your buttcheeks, over the bed beneath you. You couldn’t help or control it—his touch just felt good. His fingers moved in and out, feeling so hard, which was exactly what you needed to feel inside, and Taehyung kept going.
For a while, you forgot about his cock, but then you remembered you had to return the favor and make him feel good too, so you started to move your fingers again, earning a low grunt from him as he played with your neck. “Fuck, you’re so tight,” he mumbled into your skin. “You swallow my fingers so nicely with your pretty little cunt,” he said, making you grunt back. The fact that he had such a filthy mouth was a huge bonus in your book, and he now knew it. “Imagine how good it will feel to have my dick inside.”
“I can’t wait, Taehyung,” you said, arching your back and spreading your legs even further, allowing him to finger fuck you from a different angle and hit the spot even better.
You weren’t sure when your mind went from “I’m never touching Taehyung in my life” to “I want Taehyung to fuck my brains out”, but it sure went there. The faster his fingers entered you, the faster your hand moved, but then it started to feel so good you just couldn’t keep up with his pace.
As if he felt that, he sat up and started going even faster while he was now able to rub your clit with his other hand, which made you moan, grunt, thrust into his hand, and feel like you were about to cry, all at the same time. How did he touch this well? He knew exactly how hard to press you clit to give it all the friction it needed without making it too sensitive. At the same time, he kept his pace with the fingers, careful not to go too slow or too fast.
“You look so pretty when you’re enjoying yourself,” he commented and you wanted to say something back, but all you could do was moan profanities and his name.
The build-up was short—it felt like everything came at once. The familiar feeling of it building up deep from your stomach washed over you quickly and you thought you were about to burst, but you came around his fingers, your walls tensing and relaxing over and over again, milking his fingers like they were his cock. Taehyung didn’t stop until you tried to press your legs together, which he took as a sign that you were too sensitive.
“That was so fucking good,” you said, sighing deeply and starting to jerk him off again, this time a lot more fervently. “Fuck!”
Taehyung pulled his fingers out of you and you noticed they were coated with your juices. He spread the two fingers and enjoyed the sight of your juices clinging to them while it disgusted you. Then, he moved his hand down to his cock and rubbed your wetness all over its tip. “So you can slide easier,” he joked and lay back down on his side so he could kiss you.
He was right—it was so slimy that it made your fingers fall down his shaft and come back up a lot easier than before. You tried to calm down and apply just the right amount of pressure to get him to come too, to feel him shoot his load, to see it happen right in front of you.
“On your back,” you said in a minute, after you caught your breath. Taehyung plopped down on his back, spreading his legs and letting you jerk him off.
It was now your turn to lean in and kiss him while trying to get him off, squeezing his hard dick with your fingers, wanting to make him feel as good as he made you feel earlier.
You could tell he was getting closer—all he could say was “hot”, “fuck”, “you’re so good”, and your name. He mumbled, grunted, moaned, and hissed the words in no particular order, kicking his head back, thrusting into your hand, but then quickly getting his head back up so he could look at you and kiss you or watch your hand stroke his cock.
“I’m coming,” he warned you before shoving his tongue into your mouth.
You moaned at him on purpose, not slowing down for a second, but bringing your other hand over his tip so his sperm wouldn’t fly around everything and mess up both of you and the bed. The second you felt the first streak of cum his your palm, you both let out sounds that let the other know you were so fucking relieved and turned on. Taehyung always had a deep, confident tone, but now that he was coming, it went a bit higher and he sounded so breathy and worn out, needy even.
“Jesus, fuck, yes, like that,” he instructed you, pumping himself into your fist to get every single drop out.
“Can you go for another round?” You grinned at him, your hands covered in his cum. Still, it wasn’t enough—you wanted to feel him inside of you. To show him that, you spread your legs and looked at him suggestively while wiping your hands using the pajamas you always kept under your pillow.
“I’m not that easy,” Taehyung shook his head slowly, letting his hair fall over his eyes, still looking up at you. His hair was sticking to his forehead and he looked fucked out and so, so fuckable. “You’ll have to work for it first.”
“What?” You sighed in annoyance and fought off the urge to roll your eyes at him. Was Taehyung serious? “What do you want me to do?”
“You want me to fuck you and you don’t even have my number,” Taehyung pretended to be confused as he scratched the back of his head. “Like I’ve said, treat me like you treat other people and we’ll get there.”
“You’re really going to do this?” You propped yourself up on both elbows and watched him push himself off the bed and get dressed quickly, visibly wobbly on his feet. This was a bit much, even for him. “You know I don’t just fuck random guys, and I’ve embarrassingly offered myself to you, and you don’t want to fuck me because you’re too proud now?”
He clearly didn’t understand how big this was for you—you never did stuff like this. You’ve never fucked guys you didn’t know well, you’ve never fucked around with people from your friend group, you’ve never given in this easily and let someone mess with your head like that, and you disregarded all that to get a taste of the most annoying person you’d ever met just to have him reject you.
He was now fully dressed and he sat down on the bed next to you. “Well, that’s the problem. Not everything’s about you.”
Your mouth dropped open in surprise, and it stayed like that for a while as you tried to come up with an appropriate response. The old you would have told him to fuck off, for sure. But, if this trip has taught you anything, it was that sometimes you overreacted and forgot to see the other side, so you took a deep, deep breath and tried to figure out what exactly was bothering you so you could tell him that instead of reaching for the first insult you could think of. “I know that, but, uh, I… It’s about us. In fact, it’s about you thinking I’m not treating you… like I’m into you. And I’m just trying to explain that I am.”
“And I appreciate that,” he nodded and placed his hand on your thigh, suddenly reminding you that you were still half naked, wet, and probably sweaty and sticky. “Maybe I was too mean, okay? But, uh… I want us to get along. I don’t like one-night stands and fucking around with people, much like you. So if we’re gonna do this, I’d like us to give it a real shot and get to know each other and really enjoy this.”
“Okay,” you nodded. “I get that. You could have just said that first.”
“You’re right, my bad,” Taehyung patted your thigh once again and leaned in to peck your lips. “I had a lot of fun and you were fucking great. I feel like I need to take a shower to cool off, so I’m going to go.”
“Good thinking, I need one too,” you said, not wanting to make this into something sappy or kiss too much. Kissing was reserved for these make-out sessions, not saying goodbye. That’d be too much like dating.
You both got up and Taehyung walked to the door without a word, having said his goodbyes. However, you couldn’t let him go just yet.
“Hey, Taehyung,” you stopped him just when he grabbed the doorknob.
“Yeah?” He turned around, shirt unbutton, hair messy, eyebrows cocked up as if he knew he won.
“What’s your number, then?” You asked with your phone in hand, wanting to make up for the one thing he was so bitter about. If you had his number, you could text him and prove that this wasn’t just one big game to you and that he was indeed as important as other people.
“Ask me tomorrow,” Taehyung giggled, stepping out into the hallway. “Once the post-orgasm bliss wears off and all that.”
That jerk! Of course he had to make this a lot harder than it actually was. Taehyung closed the door behind him, but you could hear him chuckling all the way down to his room, which left you fuming with anger until you realized how ridiculous the whole thing was, so you laughed too. Taehyung won this time.
