Reminder: the Darren Wilson fundraisers raised over $660,000. The national average salary is $60,000. As a reward for murdering an unarmed black child, Wilson was given more than eleven years salary in addition to his normal pay, and over $430,000 of it was funneled through a charity and therefore tax-free.

I posted this to remind myself of the power of images. Those who write history will no doubt change the details, soften the blow but these images and stories remain as testimony to the brutality of these times, and to those who fought against it.
