Turning to see Faye, she sighed and re-lit her joint and shrugged. “Now, don’t be gettin’ me wrong or anything. I love all of them but the screams definitely don’t help the nerves. Plus, I don’t believe in modern medicine. They just need to make it legal like in Colorado.” She chuckled as she took the folders and shuffled through the names. “Yeah, that’s all of them. Sort of a late day at the clinic, ain’t it?”
“ Different methods work for different people, you can’t expect to treat everyone the same way. It’s my favorite thing about my work, it’s always changing. I could never spend a day with screaming children, I love them but from afar.” there’s upbeat laughter that comes with her words. Settling down, family, all of that was a distant thought right now. She was still trying to figure her way through, there’d be plenty of time for that later. “ And don’t worry, secret is safe with me, my lips are sealed. We’re a kind of fix-it-all place, unless we have to refer people out to the hospital. Summer time means more patients, so longer hours.”
