Is it just me or Messenger Note feature is a subtle way to flirt bait. I might be getting or that most of the notes I see on messenger are from GenZs wallowing in self-pity. “My body aches :(“, “Relapse ng Malala”, like dude, get some professional help instead on posting on your socials. I know I know, anlakas kong mambasag ng trip, but unless you’re expecting someone who you’re trying to get his/her attention with your pa-sad girl/boi notes, nobody gives a fuck. Look, I’ve done it before. When I want someone’s attention but I don’t want to start a conversation, I’ll post a picture that I’ll know he’ll comment on. But then again it’s a cute picture of me being an icon, not me wallowing saying “craving for sleep and kayakap tonight”. Teh, you’re just craving sleep. Go sleep first then see a therapist. All these neediness on social media won’t treat you.
Anyway, nakakamiss ma-inlove and the long talks. The dating setup of the generation has gone dull. Or maybe I’m just too old fashioned. Dating is out of touch. Everything revolves around phones/computers. There is no switching off. Most of the time they’re on screens, and you’re lucky if you get a decent conversation with them for half an hour. I don’t even remember the last time I had a decent sensible conversation with someone I was dating. But I guess that’s one of the reason why one doesn’t miss dating or being in a relationship. The feeling of being alone while being in one. Personally, I would choose the same thing than pondering why I don’t share the same interest with the person I’m dating, or hating the person for being boring.
Man, this post is quite pointless, just rambling for the most part while listening to OPM. I miss the old days, when people used to talk, even on the internet through blogs. They post the mundaneness of life, with those pictures without the need for aesthetics. I miss you 2000s.
