flour is still settling like a soft snow in the air. sugar combining with it on the floor to make it look like the fresh fallen snow has magically appeared among her appliances. the smell of freshly baked cake wafts through her oven-warm kitchen and it reminds her of a better time. penelope is sitting on the ground, covered in flour and egg. michael is sitting in her lap eating frosting off of a spoon, smiling as he does. she smiles at jj and henry, also on the floor of her kitchen, eating their own frosting. so, baking with auntie penny had gotten A LITTLE out of hand, but she’s never had a better time dirtying her kitchen. ❛ well, i think that this was a successful outing to fairy godmother penny’s bakery. wouldn’t you say mama bear? i’m only slightly sorry that your sons are getting more than their recommended amount of sugar in one sitting. ❜
