It went against everything that she stood for. Will Graham was mentally unstable and yet she found herself drawn to him. If Alana was honest with herself, she’d been drawn to him since she’d met him and not only because he was interesting from a psychological point of view. He was kind, gentle and she recognised in him a rare need to help others. So when he’d told her exactly how he felt, she’d found it impossible to ignore. Between gentle kisses, they’d set up a date; dinner, nowhere too fancy but somewhere quiet that they could just talk without having to worry about work or anything interrupting them. She had to admit that she was looking forward to it. If anything, she was looking forward to it a little too much. She arrived nearly ten minutes early and settled down at the table, facing the door so that she could see when he arrived.
Will had to admit he'd been thrown entirely off-guard when Alana actually agreed to this venture. He'd wanted to ask her since they met, but he'd never found the will to do it. Social exchanges weren't exactly his forte - to put it kindly. He wasn't sure why he had chosen this particular moment to persuade Alana to be with him, all he knew was that he had.
Though he wasn't one to date, he didn't feel a large amount of pressure while he was getting ready. Alana had known him for long enough, right? That was always the awkward part of dating, the first impression. But he had made his a long time ago. So he arrived to dinner in his usual attire, sans glasses, and scanned the room before catching Alana's eye and dashing over.
"I was half expecting an empty booth, I'll admit." He said before taking his seat opposite her.
The number game: 213
IC: I see the best in you. Wherever I go, wherever life takes me, I will protect the ideal of you. I've never found myself so close and yet so distanced from another being, I am both within and without, and perhaps an underlying connection has blinded me from your faults, but I will continue to believe only the best in you for the rest of my life.
OOC: You seem like one of the most fantastic blogs I've ever seen for your muse! Honestly, such a talented writer, we NEED to rp together because you are phenomenal!<3

He was alone because he was Unique. With the fervour of conversion he saw that if he worked at it, if he followed the true urges he had kept down for so long - cultivated them as the inspirations they truly were - he could Become.
Will & Hannibal - Through Locked Bars
Hannibal took a calculating moment to gather his thoughts. His tongue was usually sharper then this. What was it about Will that made him rethink himself? The man was clearly strong, Lecter thought to himself. Will’s subconscious was a marvelous thing. So very rarely do you find someone who can get into your head. So rarely does someone understand you completely. Rarely do they accept it.
"And what would that be, Will?" said Lecter, curiosity dripping off his tongue like poison from snake fangs.
Will stood up from his bed, taking slow steps towards the bars of his cell, not once breaking his precious eye contact. He had never been fond of eye contact, eye contact was distracting. But between these two, there were no secrets to be distracted from, they knew each other now inside and out.
"You are..." He said, finally standing at the edge of his cell, grabbing the bars with his hands, "a monster. A manipulator, possibly the smartest man I've ever met, though not quite smart enough."

Will’s smile was something painful, and yet, it made Alana feel relieved. She nodded, flashing a little smile. “Yes, I’m alright Will.” After all they’d gone through, sometimes, she thought she wouldn’t see him again. Without a doubt, he bore the brunt of it.
Will was still weak, he’d need some time to heal, Alana knew that. Alana leaned closer to him, she took his hand in hers, caressing the back of his hand with her thumb, she said softly. ”It’s okay Will, don’t force yourself, just try to get some rest. You need to get better and soon.”
She felt like crying, not because she was sad, but because it was good to see him, to talk to him again. Even in his state, Alana could see parts of the old Will that she knew. She was glad to have him back.
Will hadn't entirely known what he was expecting when he awoke, he had a horrifying feeling at the pit of his stomach that the others were gone, that he was the only survivor. Only that didn't feel so much like surviving - more prolonged suffering. Knowing that Alana was alive made him more relieved than anything else.
Alana's skin was warm against Will's, helpful though his drugs were, they made him weak and frail. He felt as if any sudden movement could break him - how he had become Jack's fragile teacup after all. "I'm fine, I'm fine it's not me I'm worried about." He said, looking down towards the wheeled contraption that had brought Alana to him.
"Are you...?" He gestured towards the wheelchair with his head, slowly realising there was no way of politely reminding her of her own deteriorated physical state.

I ACTUALLY SCREAMED
Here comes the smolder.

Few days after the incident at Lecter’s house, when Alana woke up, everything seemed to be blurry, like a dream. She didn’t know where she was or why she was there but, when she tried to move, she’d remember why she was in a hospital bed. She’d need therapy after her accident. Doctors said she was lucky, that the bruises and the other bones would heal. However, she still had other wounds, wounds that no one could heal.
Alana remembered every detail of that night, Hannibal in bloody clothes, Jack in the pantry and Abigail pushing her out of the window. She didn’t know what had happened to Will, though. In the first opportunity she had, Alana asked to one of the nurses to call Will. The nurse only stared at her and left the room. She learned what happened when some doctor mentioned the gravity of Agent Graham’s condition.
Alana wanted to see him but the doctors didn’t let her, they said she needed to rest, ‘just five minutes’ she said, and maybe the doctors had pity on her, because a couple of hours later, a nurse brought a wheelchair to her room and led her to Will’s room, a few doors down. When she entered to his room, she couldn’t help but cry, watching him like that, lying in bed with a fresh wound in his belly, she knew the only one to blame was Hannibal, and yet she felt guilty.
Everyday, Alana would visit Will, and she would be sitting by his bed, in that wheelchair, and would hold his hand. She’d whisper ‘I’m sorry’ and ‘Please, wake up’. The doctors told her they didn’t know when he’d regain consciousness. Days later after her first visit, one of the nurses told Alana that Will finally had woken up, but she couldn’t see him, at least, not that day. The next morning as the previous days and at the same hour, Alana was already in Will’s room. She approached to Will’s bed, as quietly as she could. “Hi Will”, was all she could say.
Will had passed out not long after Hannibal left the house. His blood loss was severe, almost to the point of being a lost cause. After spending so much of his time trying to save others, it was almost ironic that Will hadn't quite found the capacity to save himself.
He had been drifting in and out of consciousness for a few hours, his mind and his body separating every now and again. His state was lucidly aware, like he was constantly waking from a dream. He was both within and without his own body. Nothing felt real to him anymore. He couldn't speak, he didn't know how to speak. Was Alana okay? Was Jack? Was Abigail? He had no idea.
When Will finally awoke to find Alana looking back at her. He felt a sigh of relief leave his body, thank God she was alive. He tried to smile. He must have looked like hell. It was probably the last state he wanted Alana to see him in, but at this point, all he cared about was that she was alive.
"Alana..." He breathed, "you're alright." The corners of his mouth twitched into some form of a smile, and he reached out for Alana's hand, though it wasn't close enough to his own yet, and his attempt to grasp it failed miserably.
Will & Hannibal - Through Locked Bars
How fascinating Will was, thought Lecter. He mused over the man. The person who, even behind bars, couldn’t let his passion go.
"Why do you seek to destroy me, Will? I may no longer be your psychiatrist but we do seem to have reached an impasse. How are we to resolve this if we are not to be frank with one another?" Hannibal took a deep breath through his nose and locked eyes with Will.
As Hannibal's eyes locked on his own, Will's morphed to solid steel. He'd always been able to conceal his emotions well, as someone who frequently analysed through perception, he was often able to use that perception to hide his own nature.
"This isn't something you can resolve, Dr Lecter. Unfortunately, not all situations can be contained and controlled. You see, you can't control me now. I can see you for what you really are."
⇅ ✭
⇅ do they look up or down while thinking?
Up. It was something Will had picked up along his childhood years: when his father would pray, his head would tilt up to the ceiling, as if he was looking for a sign from God himself. Will always associated it with being deep in thought.
✭ what is one of their favorite items?
Items never meant a lot to Will, but his fishing lures were probably his most precious of all.
