“your temper is just about as shorter than i am.” as a solid inch shorter than addison, evelyn felt like this was an extremely funny thing to say. she hands the final paper bag to her roommate, giggling in spite of herself. “well, i truly hope that i never find you dead on the living room floor, because then i would be very sad and probably never find someone i love as much as you ever again!!” she’d fidget, though, until addy drew her in to a hug. “it’s fine. seriously. i’m not even sad, see -?” she draws back a little, to shoot the other a cheesy grin. it was a lie. both girls knew that evie was upset, but if she were to admit it.. she might fall apart. and she didn’t want that. “pizza and face masks? god, a woman after my own heart!” she clutches her hand to her chest and grins. “that’s way better than whatever me and trev were gonna do anyway.” she looks down at her outfit - skintight jeans and a dressy blouse. she’d been prepared for a real date - hair done, makeup on, jewelry, even. “i need to put on pajamas and get back to looking like my usual trash.” she says. “which is good. way more comfortable.”
Taking in the other’s appearance, obviously all done up for a night out rather than spending another marathoning Friends on the couch, Addison weighed her options, teeth briefly worrying her lower lip out of bad habit. “----- Or,” She suggested suddenly, eyebrows raising hesitantly as she gave Evie a half shrug. “We... could go out? You’re all dressed up with nowhere to go, anyways, right? So we might as well take advantage.” With that, a slow smile pulled onto her features. “We can do pizza and face masks any ole’ night, but right now, I kinda feel like dancing, maybe? Two for one drinks down at Dave’s?” It wasn’t very often that Addison actually wanted to go out; but if it was for Evie’s sake... “I just need to go change,” Add told Evie then. “Give me ten minutes? I’ve already accepted your answer as yes, so there’s no turning back now.”
