＇ ＭＥＭＢＥＲＳＨＩＰ ＴＲＡＩＮＩＮＧ ＞ ＰＡＣＫ ＹＯＵＲ ＳＬＥＥＰＩＮＧ ＢＡＧ ！

With a recent outbreak of mutant attacks in Busan, the good Professor has scheduled a mandatory MT for the students of Xavier’s School for the Gifted. At 7am[pst], all students—regardless of skill level—will be required to board a private jet at Gimhae International Airport for a fifty minute flight to the island of Jeju. You will be spending two weeks on this beautiful island, so pack accordingly.

For the first week, all students will be required to rough it on a campsite outside the small community of Iho-dong. Locals will give lessons on how to fish in the shallows and prepare the catches of the day, among other cultural outdoor living techniques. Additionally, Ability Training and One on One Combat classes will carry on as normal—at 8:30am[pst]—with a few tweaks designed personally by Magneto. Dress for a team obstacle course.

However, your trip to Jeju isn’t all work and no play! On day eight, all students will be bused to one of the top resorts in Jeju for a week of rest and relaxation. During this time, your muse will be free to run wild—but do remember, your professors are in attendance as well.

It’d been a few weeks since Jongsuk had enrolled into this school for mutants, or “gifted youngsters,” as the name referred to it. He was fairly content - being provided shelter and food, something he had been lacking for years before.

Stepping through the entrance of the doors, he slipped into the forest surrounding the school, making sure no one had followed or spotted him every few minutes. It had become routine by then, skipping all his classes save for one on one combat and ability training. The other classes were of no meaning to him - a waste of his time. All he wanted from the school was to master his power and leave.

Once he was a good distance away, Jongsuk let his backpack slide to the ground, nudging it to a nearby tree, before dropping to the ground to sit. The first few times he had done this, he felt ridiculous with his eyes closed and legs crossed like he was meditating, but he had come to realize that he couldn't use his power without focusing, which meditation needed as well.

The hours flew by and the male ignored his growing hunger for just a few hours, wanting to build up his stamina. Just a few weeks ago, Jongsuk was only able to teleport a one or two times before he felt nauseous and ready to pass out (or black out, rather.) Now, he could teleport to three or four places around the forest and arrive next to his backpack without too much trouble. (He still felt nauseous if he used his power more than once within an hour.)

Something else he had realized during these private sessions was that he had to know what the place he wanted to go to looked like, felt like, otherwise he’d only move an inch or a foot.

After an hour more of practice, Jongsuk fell on his back with his arms stretched out to his sides, heaving a sigh. He was done for the day, and his stomach grumbled a happy yet somewhat impatient demand for food.

It had been approximately two hours, three minutes, and two, three, four seconds since Park Sora had first set foot in Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. She’d received her acceptance letter along with her dorm key at the front office, as well as being the receiving end of stares from the rest of the kids who attended the school as she wandered around. She’d mentally flipped all of them off, but somehow she managed to plaster a ridiculously unauthentic smile that seemed to chase everyone off- just the way she’d liked it. 

"304…305." Sora halted in front of her dormitory room, giving the mahogany door a once over. The golden numbers of ‘305’ glared menacingly over her, and Sora heaved a sigh before inserting the key and barging in, luggage in tow. The room was clean, and that’s all Sora really cared about. After tossing her suitcase against one of the beds, she grabbed her dorm key and slipped out of the room again, closing the door behind her. She’d tour the room later- the school was a much more important necessity to get through if she didn’t want to get lost for classes and whatnots.

Sneakers squeaking through the empty hallways, the girl surveyed the halls. Portraits of various people were strung up on the horribly pink-and red wallpapered halls, and Sora cast fleeting glances at them before finally bursting outside the double doors that led to the dorms, and into the crisp autumn air. 

A text from someone interrupted her thoughts as she wandered aimlessly around the school campus, the school’s map clenched tightly in her fist. She shoveled around her pockets for her phone, arching a brow at the sender. ‘Aunt Soojin’, the dimly lit screen read. Sora scanned the message once, rolling her eyes at the content- her overprotective aunt was on strike yet again. 

Typing a quick reply while striding across the campus again, Sora didn’t notice the tall figure standing in front of her until she bumped into it. “Watch where you’re going,” She sneered, glaring up and then whipping away without another word.

Having arrived just a few hours ago, maybe it's been four hours already, but Jongsuk was absolutely and utterly lost. He regrets ditching the man in the wheelchair - what was his name again? - and silently wished the old man had insisted on bringing him to the office rather then letting him stay outside.

But it was too late now, and Jongsuk wasn't about to go around asking for help. That just wasn't his style. If he wanted to know things, he could figure it out himself. ..Eventually. 

With hands shoved in his pocket and his posture somewhat slouched and lazy, the mutant scanned the area around him. There was only one building, but it was the largest and widest building he'd ever seen. Just trying to imagine the interior started to give the male a headache.

Standing there wasn't going to help him much, he figured, and headed for the front door. He swallowed any uncertainty he had, and marched up the hallway. He kept his head held high, hoping to get the message that "don't mess" was loud and clear.

But it clearly wasn't loud and clear to the people who weren't looking.

After stumbling a step or two away from the impact, Jongsuk turned to glare at the person who had walked into him, clenching his teeth when he noticed the female was on her phone. How typical.

"Says the person who wasn't even looking. Get your facts straight and don't give me shit."

Jongsuk rolled over onto his stomach in his bed, burying himself under the softest blankest he could ever have asked for. The comforter was thick and soft for the oncoming cold fall weather. Honestly, attending this school was a luxury for him, but he could only stand a school-system for so long.

Reaching an arm out to the desk beside his bed, he patted the wooden table until he found his old, scratched-up phone. He squinted at the screen for a moment, allowing his eyes to adjust to the brightness (when did it get so dark?) and read the current time: 5:48 PM. He could nap a little while longer, but it'd already been two hours, and he knew if he slept anymore, he wouldn't sleep properly at night. (Not that he ever had before.)

Tossing his blanket aside with a reluctant tumble out of bed, he stretched his arms above and spared a glance outside. A fog was rolling in, just as it had the past few nights. The longer he looked, the more Jongsuk felt the urge to go out for a walk in it. 

Just before turning away, the male caught sight of a figure, one that was all too familiar to him. He stepped closer to the window and narrowed his eyes - perhaps he was just imagining things. Nevertheless, he would find out once he was down there.

Jongsuk easily made his way down the stairs and out the entrance of the building. He pulled his jacket closer and crossed his forearms over his chest, throwing a glance around the premises. To his right, he saw it again - the figure. Taking cautious steps closer, he called out carefully. 

"Jin?"

{` she quirks her lips almost humorously at his answer, lifting a shoulder in response as she moved down the hall, lifting a hand to card her fingers through her hair} yes, they do. i guess you were just unlucky that they didn’t give you a rundown of the school when you got here. {` shrugs a shoulder as she makes a turn at the end of the hall, casting the male beside her a glance} what’s your mutation, by the way, if you don’t mind me asking.

Rather than unlucky, I just chose to explore on my own. (-- he looked away, lips in a tight line, almost curved in a small frown. ) I didn't think it'd be this difficult to find the dorms though. (-- he'd almost forgotten that everyone he was going to meet would be like him - a mutant of some form. ) ..Teleportation. (-- raising a fist to his mouth, he coughed into it and scrunched his lips to the right. although it sounded great, his amount of skill for the power was less than proficient. he's tried teleporting to places he'd only seen in pictures, but it never worked. it only worked when he imagined his haven. ) You?

[ ; she remarks to the older woman assisting her with a map shown onto the counter. nodding afterwards, sooyoung chews her bottom lip out of habit. a sense of petty awkwardness reaches her when being called by the chosen alias as 'flora,' and she insists on correcting the woman — "sooyoung’s fine, y’know?" however, the woman behind the counter disregards it and continues on with selected classes for the semester. taking her welcome portfolio afterwards, sooyoung dips her head for a ‘thank you,’ before exiting the room. finding herself back in the lengthy halls, she pulls out a map to locate herself back to the dorms; walking at a casual pace. her eyes thoroughly surveys the taller, male figure before her. pupils dropping at the very, very similar watch to his wrist, her eyebrows furrow in confusion just as she abruptly turned her gaze to her own wrist ] how’d he — how’d i — [ ; she quickens her speed to fling her grip around the latter’s arm, raising the limb with her wrist at eye-level ] how much you wanna bet that this doesn’t belong to you?

(-- glancing back into the office, no one seemed to have noticed him. admiring the watch in his hands, jongsuk slipped it onto his wrist and clasped it shut, nodding in approval. hearing the door open a little behind, he tried to walk away as calmly as possible, but something told him it wasn't just anyone. and just a few moments later, his assumptions were correct. ) -- (-- grunting at the grip on his arm, jongsuk turned, furrowing his brows at the female and scowled. ) Excuse me? What makes you think this is yours?

What happened to me? {` he smiles a bit at the note of skeptism in the male’s voice, intent on finishing up his joke before he actually offers to show him around—there is a difference between being a troll and just being plain mean, and he doesn’t often cross that line} I was already perfect. No experimentation necessary. {` his tone is clearly self-deprecating, however, the words complete bullshit as he gestures the male to follow him to the engraved directory on the wall.} Now, if you really want to learn this shit, come close. {` he points to the top plaque} We have a bunch of classes here, most of them are centered around learning how to control our abilities, with academic courses tossed in for giggles. Ability training and one-on-one combat are the best, if you have an active mutation.

(-- he blinks for a moment, and almost laughed. instead, he snorted and crossed his arms, eyes almost narrowed into slits at the other. ) Ah -- of course. How silly of me. (-- for a moment, he was cautious to do as he was told, but figured if the other male tried to do anything, he could just attempt to teleport away. following behind the male, his eyes wandered up to where the top plaque was and frowned. ) What happens if you skip the academic courses? (-- he chewed on his lower lip, not wanting to sound overly curious or stupid in front of the upperclassman but he had to ask or he wouldn't know. ) ..And what counts as an active mutation?

{` she nods a bit at his words, sparing the male one last glance over before she pivoted on her heel, stepping forward toward the end of the hall} yeah — the stairs. did you just get here? i assume that’s why you don’t even know where the dorms are. {` blinks slowly, still attempting that bit of making conversation, at least — if only for the sake of being polite; though really she couldn’t care less if he decides to ignore her and remain quiet and sullen for the rest of the trip there}

(-- he returned the glance with one of indifference, falling behind a step or two so he wasn't too close or too far. he uttered a noise to answer her question that yes, he did just arrive and he was a lost little lamb, but he'd never say that aloud - at least not to her. ) Everyone has to start somewhere. (-- he grumbles. for a brief moment, he wonders about the other - why she would even continue talking to him who only acted rudely; he almost felt sorry. but this was what he wanted, was it not? )

[ ; adjusting and constantly fidgetting with her most dearest wristwallet, sooyoung sat in the main office in hopes of her name being called for some more heaps of paperwork. the ticking of the clock from above created an endless beat in her ears, and there was an evident tapping against her shoes. nonetheless to say that sooyoung’s patience was quite tolerable, especially for important reasons such as these. latching the watch off her thin wrist, she gave it a single look before simply resting it on the arm of the sofa. her name was soon called; and she sprung up to fill out excessive forms — though her most treasured item was out of thought. for now.

(-- jongsuk found the stairs easily and descended them until he found himself in front of the main office. through the window, he spotted a bin labelled "maps" and "information," just what he needed. there weren't that many people around - some workers who sat behind their desks, and a few students milling around. retrieving a map, he flipped through it, pausing to look up when he heard a name, "Flora," be called. he looked to where the female was, curious, and saw that she had left something behind. there was a glint in his eye, and as casually as possible, he slipped by the chair she once occupied and picked up the wristwatch, leaving the office shortly after. ) Her loss.

(-- having finally found his room, jongsuk was too lazy to go out again. one glance out the window tempted him though - the fog, not being able to see quite clearly where he was going - but still, lazy. sitting up in his bed and glancing to the one across the room, he pursed his lips in a straight line, wondering where his roommate was. he knew he had at least one other roommate, seeing as one closet was filled and one bed set up, but other than that, said person was no where in sight. it was still too early to be snooping through his things when it'd be there for a while, but perhaps her could go elsewhere. hopping off his bed, he shuffled out of his room with hands in his pockets. )
