Injuries in young teenage athletes that creates problems later on in life such as arthritis and other muscular and skeletal problems. Since the adolescent body is still undergoing development, if it suffers an injury it can create problems to the natural growth of the victim’s body. The two most common forms of adolescent injuries include overuse and acute injuries which include soft tissue (muscles and ligaments) and bones injuries. These type of injuries sometimes are ignored by athletes because of their urgency to play and be part of the team or game. Ignoring even the slightest form of pain can lead to severe and permanent damage to the human body later on in the teens life. Therefore, young athletes should be aware of these problems and not ignore any type of injury or pain they may have. They should receive immediate treatment so the injuries don’t become a life changing problem for them in the long run.
