Wait. “… y-you too?” Could she really believe that? Was this actually a coincidence? It seemed like it and Annie couldn’t decide if she should stay alarmed or calm down eventually. She wanted to say more but this panic had created a lump in her throat and an uncomfortable feeling had settled in her stomach. The shifter didn’t feel like eating anymore. Actually she’d prefer if she would just puke her stomach content out again. Sooner or later she would have to do that anyway.
With her heart still hammering in her chest, Annie tried to calm herself at least a little. Adair was no threat. It’s alright. Her own thoughts didn’t seem really reassuring at the moment, that’s how bad it was. It has been quite some time since the last time the shifter had shown such an… extreme reaction to a distressing situation such as this one.
"Me... too.", he mumbles slowly, as if in slight shock. This was all just a bizarre turn of events. A coincidence. Nothing more. He tries to calm down. Deep breaths. It's okay. She wont hurt him. He leans forward, back towards the table, towards her. Takes a moment to take a sip of water. It's alright.
He can't help wanting to bombard her with questions. He's curious, now. Even moreso than he had been before. "... Are you alright?"
