Sometimes when I feel very tired, I feel I shouldnât read Quran because Iâm more susceptible to making a careless mistake while reading, so Iâve taken to trying to make a lot more dhikr and dua. There are some awesome articles Iâve read that help remind us of things we should or can make dua for.
Iâve read a lot of different articles with ideas in them so I apologize I canât site them all, but one of the recent ones I found to be incredibly helpful is one Iâve already shared (http://juwie-ki-baatein.tumblr.com/post/146647794925/dua-list-guidelines-tips-dua-suggestions) Feel free to take a look at that one.
Some other dua and prayer ideas Iâve come across, plus some of my own that I feel are very good reminders to have are to:
Send salawaat upon the Prophet Muhammad PBUHÂ
Send blessings to his Companions and Wives, May Allah be pleased with all of them
Help us forgive others whether they have apologized to us or not
Help us forgive ourselves for things we may have done in the past but have yet to move past
Guide us and keep us all on the Straight PathÂ
Protection from the Hellfire, from Shaitan, and from the faults in ourselves
Beg for forgiveness for the sins and shortcomings of our parents, grandparents, ancestors and all the MuslimeenÂ
Give us the strength to not commit the same mistakes again
A pious spouse, pious children, and the strength to become more pious ourselvesÂ
Better conditions around the worldÂ
Grant Jannat-ul-Firdaus to our deceased loved ones and to the victims of attacks worldwideÂ
Help us do well and exceed in our education and careers
Grant us good health and wealth and the ability to work in His CauseÂ
Guide our non-Muslim brothers and sisters to the Straight PathÂ
Help us earn halal money and spend in His CauseÂ
Good healthâphysically, mentally, emotionally
Energy to continue each day for His SakeÂ
Help us better understand the Quran and help us implement it into our daily livesÂ
His Mercy on all matters in our livesÂ
End the suffering of our brothers and sistersÂ
Keep us under His Shade on the Day of JudgementÂ
Help us follow the SunnahÂ
In all of our asking, begging and pleading, we must not forget to thank and praise Him.
Possible things to thank Him for:Â
Ease and hardships in your life
Not giving us what we thought was best for us because only He truly knows what is best for us
Our hearts beating and lungs breathing only by His CommandÂ
The ability to read, speak, eat, see, blink, touch, feel, hear, move, understand, laugh, smile, etc.Â
Endless bounties He has bestowed upon us without us realizingÂ
For making us part of this Ummahâfor being born into a practicing Muslim family, for finding Islam again, for reverting to Islam, etc.Â
His Infinite Power and WisdomÂ
Giving us the power to make decisions in our lifeÂ
Giving us more than we could ever deserveÂ
Allowing us to witness another RamadanÂ
** There are more things to add, of course, but these are just a few things I have been trying to remind myself of, so I thought it may be helpful to some of you, as well!
May Allah SWT accept all of our duas, and may He grant us with what He knows to be best for us in this life and the Hereafter, InshaâAllah.
