He was so lonely he put all his love into a contact lens case. Just finished volume 1 for the umpteenth time. It still makes me tear up. This guy is so alone and wanting to reach out. I think his emotions at that time were all over the place like any teenager. His love and loneliness were overwhelming forcing him to pretend and make light of his life. Through it all he hides his vulnerable side, finally breaking down under it all. He was a 17 year old with no family or future but holding on to an unrequited love. Even with his sexual promiscuity he was hiding his hopeless feelings of being twisted beyond repair. It's heartbreaking but it puts the mans life into prospective. Have to take a break before volume 2.
