Feeling too much can hurt sometimes, but one day you grow and realize that your heart was never really broken. It was just wide open.

NEPTUNE IN THE 4th HOUSE; Observations
Something was missing or unknown during childhood for these natives. People with this placement can not see the past for what it truly is and cannot remember their childhood well. This is usually to protect themselves from revisiting painful memories. Dissociation is a real issue for those with his placement. There is a tendency to focus on the positive rather than the negative, but it can get delusional at times. A sense of false nostalgia occupies their minds. I’ve noticed issues regarding addiction are a common theme during childhood, such as a parent hiding their drug use. They can’t see their parents or who they really are. The home life was dysfunctional and unusual. The background of their family is unknown and there is a disconnect with extended family. This is a common placement for people who were adopted or grew up within foster care. Their parents were probably neglectful, these types felt invisible growing up and felt alone in this world. Their needs and wants were ignored, and they weren’t given an outlet of emotional expression. As children, they escaped through daydreams and fantasies. They still carry these tendencies as adults. Many unhealthy coping mechanisms were learned, and sometimes they can’t see how this still affects them. These types struggle with boundaries and also struggle with keeping themselves safe. With their sensitive nature, they have a tough time navigating such a harsh world. People with this placement have abandonment issues. Their attachment style is oftentime disorganized, they want to be clingy but at the same time they want to run away. They are withdrawn from society and usually end up living in a home removed from the public, such as a house in the middle of the woods. They have their moments of loneliness, but isolation is necessary for emotional recuperation. Neptune fourth housers can find a lot of emotional peace within nature, especially by bodies of water. Living near some sort of trail in which they can walk daily and fantasize is a good idea. They would make for great fishermen! Friends and family will travel long distances to come and visit. Their home serves as an oasis of sorts, they try to create a space that promotes tranquility through aesthetics. Art decorates their home, maybe even their own art.

nothing is as tender as annotating your favourite books. it’s like leaving a piece of your heart on the pages for somebody else to find.

Love and Self-Awareness through the teachings of the Goddess Isis
As an Initiate, this is one of the first and most important lessons I have learned from the Divine Lady herself.
Love. And She does not mean to blindly give your all to someone- that’s not love, that’s self- neglect. It also does not mean substituting self-love to fill the void of being single - you can strive for self-love and crave a relationship at the same time. Both can co-exist.
So what does it mean when the Lady Isis talks about love to us, Her Initiates? Self-awareness. Everything that we love, for us to hold it dearly, requires awareness. If we love ourselves, we have to be aware of our own strengths and limitations. If it is love for community, we have to be aware of when our help is needed and when it is not.
Self-awareness equates to accountability. When you know your feelings are valid, you become accountable for your actions and words and you know when to hold others accountable for theirs too. So many people lose themselves in “spirituality”, either being too dependent on divination without working on how to properly interpret what they receive from the divine, resorting to social media trends among other things, because they were not self-aware enough to know what to take in and not. You are the only person accountable for your own journey.
Self-awareness leads to love for we can only love things and people we are conscious about. Everything we love, we know the value of. If we love ourselves, we take care of our mind, body, and soul for we are aware that our soul chose this body as a vessel for a reason and we must honor that. If we love our significant other, we value them and their time, for we are aware of how precious time spent with them is.
You see, your idol of all idols can tell you to “strive and go for your dream”, but if you are not self-aware and love yourself enough to recognize and follow that dream, it is not going to happen for you.
