It's Black and White
This morning i read a post written by Abu Takeru (Paradise Striver). So he went to a tailor and found a bunch of 'emak-emak' gathered there. Soon a loan shark came to collect the outstanding debt. In the akad, the emak-emak prayed something like this 'O Allah, we are grateful for the rizq You have bestowed upon us. Please bless our transaction and ease us to pay back the loan, and punish those who violate the agreement (the loan including interest)'
What is your opinion? I'm just going to give words (a short one) here since I have too many free time.. 😅
This is why having knowledge about islamic transactions/muamalat is essential. The more I learn about the concept of Islamic bank or takaful, the more I think we should respect and thankful to Islamic scholars. Muslims can enjoy the products without worrying about violating Shari'a Law. And I am against those who claim takaful companies/islamic bank has no difference with conventional ones. Bcos behind that weak assumption, the Islamic scholars have put their efforts in providing contracts that fulfill Shariah-compliance = avoiding RIBA. So they facilitate a Halal transaction in order for us to proceed with the muamalat. However, at the end, the choice is up to the individuals..
Our religion has made a clear guidance on what is halal and haram. So why we bother to change the rules and justify with arguments only to fulfill our needs? Just because Allah is The Most Forgiving doesn't mean we can cross the line and ask Him to give us His blessing for it, right?
