Zeke walked outside of the warehouse, his crow on his shoulder. It was getting late out, so hopefully he’d be able to find a place to sleep before dark.

He found a comfortable place near the side, and unrolled his sleeping bag, ripping up a nearby cardboard box to lay under it.

He sat, and sighed.

It would be another day tomorrow.

Jonathan was nearing the end of his long commute home, exhausted from a late night of assisting, or rather doing all the work, in grading papers. While homeless people on his route weren’t new, what he didn’t expect was to see a familiar shape huddled on the ground.

He slowed to a stop in front of the younger Crane, already debating if stopping was a mistake, but the state of him... He scowled and cleared his throat.

“ What are you doin’ out here?”

Whether or not the scowl etched deep into his face was aimed at Zeke’s situation or Zeke himself remains to be seen.

[ Jonathan is determined to have the Keeny and Crane lines end with him, and he will make it so, in more ways than one. He has an IUD but plans on saving up for more permanent sterilization, and he's got big plans to track down his parents and get revenge for his abandonment some day. Not any time soon, though. ]

[ By "around the house" I think you mean like handyman type work? Like he can unclog drains, do basic plumbing, wiring, and do a lot of generic home maintenance which saves a lot of money, but he also uses some of the affiliated know-how to build the contraptions like the gauntlet and other devices to administer the toxin, unfortunately. ]

[ Jonathan deals with on and off again pain due to his joint hypermobility. His joints can dislocate more easily than most people's joints, which probably serves as a shock to anyone who inadvertently wounds him in such a manner. Inevitably the Bat will accidentally dislocate a shoulder at least once. ]

[ What coping mechanisms? Outside of inevitably dressing in burlap? He smokes, has a caffeine addiction, and buries himself in his work at the price of his health and sleep. Once he starts developing toxin he tests it on himself, trying to build tolerance not only to the toxin, but fear itself. Although it can be seriously argued that this is moreso self harm and punishment than really helping him overall, considering how he eventually destroys his ability to feel fear after becoming a sort of fear junkie. ]
