Waking up in the middle of the night to discover that the tickle monster has captured you in your sleep. You find yourself face down, unable to look back and see it, only recognising its presence from that familiar feeling of fingertips wandering weightlessly over your body. In that state of freshly-woken confusion, you attempt to slowly pull away — this is all a dream, isn't it? The cuffs around your wrists suggest otherwise. How long have they been doing this? From how soaked you are, it would seem quite a while. And so you lie there, semi-conscious and pliant, gasping and whimpering beneath the rhythmic stroking of fingers. You were always afraid of monsters under the bed. Suddenly, they don't seem so bad.
