the way methinks a huge part of ttpd is going to center on how she unconsciously lost or forgot parts of herself in the process of valiantly, desperately trying to make something work. acquiescing. working. giving. shrinking. and what impact that had on her psyche / self-worth / confidence / value.

until she got to a point where she was begging to be seen, then demanding to be seen, and then determining she'd have to see herself (out).

I think it’s also interesting that the ending of these relationships seem to coincide with moments of her rediscovering herself through a positive lense of her career/on stage/the fans, and realizing that she doesn’t need another person to feel good about herself because SHE is the sun

this!!!!!!!!! and not to parasocial all over the god damn place bc this isn’t a 1:1 replacement and she shouldn’t have to choose between herself, her work, and a loved one to share both those things with but i don’t think it’s outrageous to say that we/the tour were instrumental in helping her move along in her healing process and to finding those bits of herself she thought she’d buried or lost forever.

I just hate that we went from Christ the Redeemer and expecting a bunch of fun shows and Monday Night Football to this. And then I feel like such a petty little thing for feeling disappointed when there are so many bigger important things to concentrate on in all of this. But man, the emotional whiplash is real.

It’s okay to feel sad that this weekend wasn’t a happier one. Everyone (Taylor, fans - in Brazil and beyond) deserved to be experiencing joy.

I know that I love tuning in to these silly little livestreams every weekend as a way to escape whatever may be going on in my personal life so that for three hours there is only happy tour magic.

And the fact that not only it didn’t happen but the way that it did happen is something to feel all sorts of feelings about.
