Neku, feeling confused, annoyed, and concerned, was busy wringing out Josh’s clothes of water and blood, along with some of his own. He groaned, wiping at his forehead with his forearm. How could it possibly be so hard to wring water and blood from clothes?! After a bit, he finally dropped everything into the basket and moved it over to his washing machine, transferring the clothes to it and putting a little bit of bleach and laundry detergent into the machine. Once he got them started, he worked on cleaning the sink, a heavy sigh escaping him. Jesus, just what did he get himself into? This isn’t what he meant when he said he’d wanted to see Joshua again!
Just what the hell was going on with Josh? What happened to him to cause that reaction when they saw each other? He could remember the feel of Josh’s hands on him, shoving him into the wall and that crazed look in those violet eyes. The crimson blood staining the around around his mouth and the splatters over the rest of his face. He remembered the preternatural speed that Josh exhibited, that strength that had kept him pinned to the wall. He wanted to know what could have happened, what caused that change. He sighed, rubbing his face wearily once he was done with the cleaning.
The other’s voice jolted him out of his thoughts before he groaned lightly. “Hold your horses, Joshua. I was busy cleaning up the blood!” He called for Joshua to hear before heading up towards his room, looking away from the bathroom when he passed by it. He picked out some random clothes, knowing Josh would probably criticize it to hell, but he didn’t care. It’s been a long ass day. When he picked out an outfit for Josh, he stepped out of the room and placed the pile on the ground by the door. “Here. You can choose something closer to your tastes after you get out.”
“ I'm afraid I don't have any horses to hold, Neku. ”
「A very typical Joshua-esque response. The reason of it either disappointment over the redhead's decisions or weariness. This time-- as unusual as it was-- it was the latter; the Composer simply on edge because he felt uneasy at the thought of all the questions Neku might have the second he was out the door. The door opened as soon as Neku finished his sentence, only a gap but enough for the redhead to get a good look at a pair of raised eyebrows and a mildly disgusted expression.」
“ As long as it's not the giant collar shirt you wore during the Game, we're good. ”

Joshua didn't said anything as he disappeared again, saving his breath for when it really mattered. Neku should know, the unspoken 'I will be out in a second.' that was attached to the look he’d given him. because their sync had always been good enough for this kind of intuitive thing.」
