Long ago, a man who didn’t dare show his face hid away in a small castle...

He resented others and lived alone, filling his time growing flowers in his garden.

One day, he caught a woman stealing from his beloved garden. Infuriated, the rabbit spied on her to catch the woman red-handed.

He learned that she was poor and was selling his flowers for a living.

Moved, the man wanted to help her. But he was afraid she would be scared of his appearance.

He settled on growing more flowers for her in secret. He wanted to cultivate a flower that would sell for a higher price, so he worked on rare flowers.

However, one day the woman never showed up again. Like flowers at the end of spring, she passed on, leaving the man alone again.
