So, here are my Beatles/Beatles related books and magazines.
There are three very special books/mags in there that I treasure the most and that is:
The Beatle Book which is an original copy from 1964 and was priced at just 50 cents. It belonged to a lady called Joyce Miller. It actually does state facts that no one would guess to know or even ask such as the size of George’s collar, his chest and waist measurements, and other funny yet amazing facts.
Growing Up With The Beatleswhich was published in 1976 and, I’m guessing, is the story of one boy who grew up with The Beatles as part of his life from an early age. It’s an interesting thing to read with quite a lot of photos of the band, and themselves, that I had never seen until I got the book as well as photos of the boy and his family. Also an original.
Last is my original copy of the last time The Beatles were on LIFE Magazine as a band. Published September 13, 1968 at just 40 cents, It’s still intact and was kept in excellent condition by it’s previous owner which I managed to track down and meet.
Anyway, that’s it!!! Oh, in the photo that has The Fifth Beatle, the book next to it on the right, I’m thinking of giving that away since my ex-boyfriend gave it too me, but, he wrote something inside so I’ll have to cross that out with sharpie :/
