let's show f1 writers some love;

i've seen some discourse over the off-season about the quality of writing on f1tumblr, which is not only disheartening to see because i know how much effort goes into fic writing and smaus, but it also makes me sad to think new readers aren't finding the gold that exists on here.

so, i wanted to create a thread for people to shout out their favourite writers or fics or blogs that supports f1 writers! here are mine in no particular order;

@vettelsvee - lots of taylor swift inspired work (a whole series for each album, p sure) & the most consistent seb writer out there

@theonottsbxtch - her concepts are so insanely unique! perfect if you're into well-written work that will tug at your heartstrings

@luvstappen - i'm sure you've seen her lando/oscar fic somewhere but it's a wonderfully done smau. i'm still hooked after like 20-something parts

@ham1lton - not sure if she's currently updating BUT all of her reader characters are very fleshed out. her smaus are hilarious & her x marks the spot series is soo good

@moonlight-records - is writing one of my fav series (rich boys don't have hearts) and did a really cute christmas series

@celemilii - writes about older drivers, is collabing with vettelsvee on a series, and her narrative works are so sweet

@harrysfolklore - i'm pretty sure she's huge actually but in the unlikely event you've never come across her works she has an entire patreon FULL of smaus. literally a library atp.

I think it’s so funny that among hbowar viewers it’s almost a universal experience to not be able to tell any of those white guys the fuck apart on a first watch through

like the first viewing is about being confused and taking nine episodes to realize that these two guys are different people.

the second viewing is about lovingly keeping watch over everyone and knowing them all by name like they are your flock of sheep and you are a tender, 1940s white guy shepherd, and also feeling maternal instincts toward solomon ‘scooby doo’ jones, a character who never makes it out of the background of the frame and dies offscreen

My sons trying to help me repair our tent

We are starting from scratch, with nothing but a tattered tent unfit for human habitation. We have no bathroom, no furniture, no closets, no mattresses, no blankets, no chairs, no kitchen, no kitchen utensils, no pots, no plates, no spoons, no stove—nothing at all.

Two days ago, I started building a bathroom for my family, but I haven't been able to finish it yet due to limited resources and my inability to buy everything we need.

We wake up to eat, so we borrow plates, spoons, and knives from the neighbors. My children go out at sunrise to search for firewood to light a fire for our food, because wood is so expensive.

My children have no clothes, no shoes, and no education because private lessons are too costly. We are suffering greatly, and what I've mentioned is just a small part of what we endure daily.

So please, my friends, donate to us. Every donation, no matter how small, will alleviate our suffering and improve our living conditions. Please don't abandon us.
